______________________________________________________________________ ESPN - Press Release Monday Night Football - Special Commentators In a surprising move by ESPN, this Monday Night Football broadcast of the New York Giants vs. the Cleveland Browns will have a more democratic feel. It replaces two of it's commentators with the presidential candidates, John McCain and Barack Obama. They...
...this is by no means a major market but right now there are three games on, Oklahoma vs Texas, Rutger vs Cincinatti, and South Carolina vs Kentucky. All three are carried on different permutations of ESPN. Talk about monopolistic status. I'm waiting for ESPN to buy up PBS and Fox. Then they'll buy out either the Democratic or Republican Parties. Perhaps this is my version of that great American pastime...
...I decided to take a trip to si.com. Needless to say, seeing that they too had made bold predictions about the upcoming season I thought it only fair to post their thoughts as well (after mocking ESPN 's yesterday). So, Aaron Rodgers began his start for Green Bay on Monday Night Football against the Minnesota Vikings. Quite possibly, he's the best "rookie" I've ever seen. In fact, his completion percentage for...highest of all time for a first start in the NFL. We ended up winning 24-19, and I'm so excited. The video above is proof of why I should be. Yes, it's in Spanish...it's more exciting that way.
...and whether he supports President Bush's policy of promoting abstinence. "Ahhh, I think I support the president's policy," McCain said. Posted at 6:35 PM ET on Sep 2, 2008 Oh, by the way, you know why Sarah's daughter Bristol was name Bristol? During her stint as a sportscaster, Palin decided to name her daughter after the city of Bristol, Connecticut. The home of ESPN. I shit you not.
