Well, not quite the find as it turns out, as I went trolling on eBay and discovered that all of the Tops 1967 cards had signatures on them (hey, it's kind of hard to tell - but in retrospect, I should.....I came up with another brilliant conversation in my head this morning that I can't write down. Now, when it comes to writing parodies of musicals, it only counts if folks know the music. Which is why I found for the HP musicals, it was helpful to have people tell me which musicals to parody. Except... But we think it's insulated, sort of - very thick sidewalls - and so it might be one of those ice-keeper-things. No tongs, though. All the same, $4 and pretty, so I bit. I like it, anyway

This weekend we had a blow out on estate sales. I came home with quite a pile of goodies for just $5 and change. I bought: 3 pairs of vintage gloves at 50 cents each, a chain belt and a chiffon scarf for...he asked for it. The price was a little dear, but it is exactly what I have been looking for, so I am pleased with it, and will try not to feel too guilty. So, that was my weekend. How was yours?

Over the years Ive had plenty of run ins with professional estate sale companies. They sure can talk a great game. They will fill your head full of tales about unscrupulous dealers. Well, another weekend gone by and not a whole lot to talk about. Daemein and I did go out estate saling again this weekend. It was mostly a bust, until I realized that we were right next to the cemetery...plants. I think I'll be doing some planting this afternoon. The only other interesting bit of news is that McCain and Palin are in town. They were literally 8 miles or so down the road this morning

Who knew? Today is Vintage Sewing Book Day. During our estate/garage sale exploits today, that is what I came up with. And not one, not two, but three of 'em! For a grand total of $1, I might add. I've been estate sale shopping again! On Friday I walked up a few blocks to some local ones. I scored a vintage choker for $3 and a rubber stamp for $1 at the first, and then at the second bought a really...did a quick tour of the downtown in search of my parent's favorite ice cream parlor which has sadly close. Then we came home. Quite the weekend. I think we could use another to rest up from this one
