It had started, as all things seem to start with Patrick Jane, as a whim. It was late afternoon, he was making tea and contemplating how much he could have gone for a scone as well. Maybe a muffin. It was always a good day when the democratic process had been carried out without a hitch, and this day was no exception. The results of the latest Island Council election were in and it was time to celebrate...area, the compound itself and any number of the buildings that had sprung up around it. I find it odd that people are able to talk so freely and are not in fear of getting black bagged; I for one would not be so willing to talk freely, but it seems that this place is not under surveillance...myself as Evey and its a pleasure to meet all of you.  I guess I'll go make myself a cup of tea and I look around the internet some more since I can't leave without fear of getting caught..
