Yesterday, june 6, was the Swedish national day. I decided to take the train to Stockholm. I celebrated the national day at a square called "Stortorget". There was traditional Swedish folk dance and music...in Stockholm :) Anton and I went there for some hours. Sitting in the grass and listening to music. It was really nice and relaxing! We had a little picnic as well :) And Anton was cute!
I finished two new garments this Friday, a dotted cotton blouse and a pair of silk shorts. I also started making children's clothes from t-shirts :) The cotton blouse was a long sleeved shirt with a ordinary...with slits. A little bow on each of the puff sleeves :) A pair of silk shorts, they will probably be in the fashion show, together with the silk jacket I made earlier. Just a close-up
I finished this dress before the Easter holiday but never posted any photos of it. It's a part of my culture- and style-historycourse, I chose to give form to a dress from the rococo epoch, 1730-1770...photos of it later some day though. This photo came out a bit blurry but it's still my favorite! You can't see it well in these photos but the fabric has a golden floral pattern all over.
This fur collar was probably a part from a vintage coat. As you can see I made it into a cape with satin ribbons :) Well, I think it's real fur and usually I'm against fur garments but I think...a new fur coat for example. I just wanted to say that. So. I made this dress from a vintage maternity blouse and vintage fabric. I shortened the sleeves and made them wider and two pieced :)
I finished a blue satin jacket at Remake a while ago, I never posted any photos of it though. It was a big dressing gown before i remade it - like this one: I made it into a short tight jacket :) And it's going to be shown at REMAKE's fashion showthis summer! Blue satin jacket
I finished the salsadress+necklace Monday morning. I have made the sewing pattern from scratch as well. The play has première Saturday night :) I'm going to see it next Monday though. I will try to get...the dress as well. It's black stretch fabric with gold-glittery threads. The flounces and necklace are made of a gold/yellow silky fabric with a "indistinct" snakeskin-like pattern.
I'm still at my mother's house, I had migraine during the day and stayed in the couch most of the time. It feels better now though and I managed to finish some school work I had. I still have a lot of...birthday gift :) She got it Saturday morning and seems to like it a lot :D I thought I should post some photos of it! (It's made of the striped fabric I bought from IKEA earlier).
Yay! I just won three KERA magazines at auction :D I'm looking forward to get them! Inspiration and happiness ^o^ In speak of auctions I really should try to sell some things..I need the money and...cloak for herself as well, I helped her with the pattern yesterday and during SaturdayI went and bought fabric with her (blue linen and darkblue velvet for the dress and grey wool for her cloak) ^
Finally I am back to school after the winter holiday. Things are going just fine, and I have gained control over myself. I just needed these days by myself, to realize that I was better of sticking with...=) So here's a picture of the dress I am going to make. It will be some more details on it, but I am going to save that for later. Hehe.. Never mind the fabric. I haven't decided on that part yet.
