Available in both mediafire and sharebee flavors. Couldn't very well leave Sunday's post completely music free. Probably one of the single catchiest New Wave songs ever put out. That very brief chorus...chorus will be stuck in your head. There's a lot of sounds going on here, many of which sound familiar, but put together, this is something totally new and exciting. Should have been a hit, but wasn't
Click. Enjoyable piece of early 80s Italo Disco. Sadly can not track down the Fake's entire "New Art" album. Would love to, but my google fu skills are failing me. If anyone can point me in it's direction, it would be much appreciated.
Click. Presumably official. If you liked "Rio", or any of the other singles from that album, chances are you'll like this. Not a single, I think it's better than all of them, especially "Save A Prayer", but I guess the studio didn't want to release four songs that sounded really similar and wanted to give the ballad a shot.
But not quite. See, the trailer includes what's best described as a dance version of "Havah Nagilah" and while I don't have the version in the trailer (and I refuse to post the bad techno remix I found...really needs a proper remaster and reissue soon. I know it did get something last year, but I don't think it was ever intended to be sold properly, as it's not on any label and may just be a bootleg
As if there was something else I could post today. Happy 4th, belated Canada Day or whatever independence day you celebrate honoring your country. Have fun, and don't go blowing your hands off with fireworks...started out as a model so having brilliant vocals may not have even been how he got this whole singing gig in the first place. Obviously lip-synced performance from sometime in the 90s or 2000s:
Click. 1. NOT the album version. Album version is somewhere around 5:00, this is 6:20. Not a totally huge remix or anything, but still. Different. 2. May or may not be in print. I don't have the time...be happy with just those two. * - Yeah, not much from the 90s holds up with him for me. I think there's a curse on 80s acts that makes them totally suck in the 90s. Unless you're A-Ha or Colin Hey
Click. If you're Mela, you have this already on a mix CD. If you're not, well, this is totally new to you and it's one of the best forgotten 80s new wavesongs and a damn good song for a some sort of...archive.... So here's that then. Courtesy of the blog. The LP is still a mystery. Video: - I typod new wave here as mew wave. Now I desperately want to hear cat's meowing Gary Numan's "Cars"
Click. *presumably the disconet edit.* This is not the same version that was posted on Yahoo! groups agesago, but it's not totally different. If you remember the original, chances are you'll like this...80s electro that IIIRC, was originally from some porno. Honestly, I think the porno origins do more for generating interest for this track than the fact that it's a really great piece of music
Click. Italo. From 1988. That for some reason samples "Dragon's Lair". Least, I assume it does, as it sounds like it, and I've never played the game. Plus, it's mentioned on a "Dragon's Lair" fan page...got the name back. I think he's still bitter about it, as he's pretty adamant about boycotting Zyx now. Which is hard to do when you like italo, cause they are pretty much the only ones selling CDs now
Click. This may be a reupload, but I was inspired to do a reposting of it only because I thought about it recently and connected to a Homestar Runner joke. I always found it rather odd that this song...to the song. This isn't even my favorite version either, but I needed to post it only cause of the whole "Whales...in space" aspect. Oh, and Koto hates these guys, but that's a story for another time
