I had been mostly off of LJ. I didn't get a chance to reply to all the wonderful entries on my f-list. But I'm hoping to read and write more from now on. So, what has been going on in my life? Well, the...for it and that I'll be all alone (from family) here, but we did talk a lot, which she liked. I also told her that I'll be celebrating it here in my own small ways, which made her feel better.

Would I be wrong to consider Diwali to be a noisy, air polluting & life threatening festival!? I cant help but think that this festival was invented by the fireworks co. to grab everyone's money & life...the negative points of the festival, & let me add to the list all the weight gained thanks to the shuddh ghee mithai!! I wonder if Indians abroad can exchange their Christmas vacation for Diwali?!  

..... Anyway, so as of this weekend Yonago has a cinema! So we went to see Eagle Eye. It was really terrible. But it was nice to go anyway, and cinema food in Japan is so cheap :O Have culture festivals at my schools this weekend - going to one on Sat, and the other on Sun. Each of the classes has to perform a song, and they compete against the other classes in their grade. Well, class 3-3 decided...

I saw a great movie yesterday-'Some Like it Hot' with the sexy Marilyn Monroe and the delicious looking Tony Curtis and the hilarious Jack Lemmon. I can't beleive it was the first time I ever saw the movie... and my smoker house mate didn't even know what it was. Which is fine, since there is no reason for him to know but he is always sprouting knowledge.   Sal Mubarak everyone and Happy Diwali!

This week has had quite an ending!  Plenty of things going on.  We have a huge, local music store here in Wichita called Senseney Music where all us music teachers can buy music, drumheads, pianos (when...me to play drums.  Sure thing! That's all for now...this week is parent/teacher conferences after school, and our last home game on Thursday.  This will be a busy one!  Happy Early Halloween all!
