So, free tickets are always awesome.  And to be honest, I had no plan to see this film, it's not particularly something that interests me, but I was asked to see it with friends, so I went. To be perfectly...Pilgrim probably would have translated better into an animated film over a live action.  Anime or animation has more of the capacity for that impossible to happen in an every day sort of setting.

Tim Burton is one of my favourite directors and I'm not big on directors. However, Tim Burton has a vision I admire, he's not afraid to be bold or a little crazy. Perhaps if there is one line that is... The costumes were beautiful and so were the effects. It was truly pretty to look at, but rather dry as a film. As a true fan of Alice, it wasn't enjoyable at all, with the few exceptions. Spoiler fre

Mythology is my weakness, I'll freely admit it, I love it. So when I hear about a movie, book, television show that involves Greek, Roman, Egyptian, etc mythologies, I generally want to see it. It was...I probably would buy it on DVD when it comes out. And just for those of you who are interested, I believe they are going to film the second book: The Sea of Monsters. I love Hiyao Miyzaki. He's a genius. Any anime buff can tell you who he is and his grand achievements. His films are bright, colourful and meaningful. He incorporates beautiful story-telling with imagery...casting. Each and every voice was perfect for the role, from Liam Neeson as Ponyo's father to Tina Fey as Lisa, Sosuke's mother. As always, Miyazaki films draw in big names, but they never disappoint

To add my two cents despite my semi-craptastic view of the last film, I will now add my thoughts for those of you who have seen the film and want to gab with me on specific scenes. Because I have a load...with Emma in these films instead of with Bonnie or Emma with Rupert. Also, I loved that we had more Luna in this film, she's charming in an odd and fun way. And I'm rambling...I'll leave it here

After waiting almost a year for the new Harry Potter film, I don't know if it was worth the wait. I'll be the first to admit that I love the series, I have all seven books, plus the three smaller off...be in 3-D. I still hope that the DVD will a few of these scenes that seemed to be missing as deleted scenes. Spoiler free for the most part...I think...I tried to not give anything away really

I realise that this review will get me flames to no end. Mind you, I am not a Trekkie and am including the thoughts of my father, who has been a Trekkie since the 60's. Also, these are my thoughts and...and not hurting still from the IMAX, otherwise I would be able to remember what we discussed in the car. Being an Eva Green fan, it is a treat to see a film she's in.  She's an actress of grace and depth and I personally love seeing anything she's in.  I have seen her in Casino Royale, where she blew me... Overall, the film was kind of good, something I may see again.  And possibly if I saw it again, I would understand it more and make some more connections and perhaps like it more than I did

Yep, I gave in and watched my parents' DVD of Twilight.  I know, my parents bought it and they didn't like it!  Which makes me laugh a good bit. I didn't like it much, I'm not a Twilight fan at all...realistic character.  That just makes him better than most of the characters.  Ok, I won't keep ranting about this because personally, I sat through it and thought most of it was a waste of time.
