So I'm chancing posting on this fabulous community of snark, an actual question. Please be kind. I've decided to not enter my usual winter hibernation mode and instead try and stay fit by jogging around...I be on my guard while beating back the winter doldrums? Edit: Thanks for the info, Seattle! Lots of good suggestions, minor snark, and pretty much the info I was trying to find out. Much obliged

Trailwalker Training - Farley Loop and the Lower Huia Dam track

...upness that, to my surprise, had me missing the whole muddy-tree-root-watch-where-you-place-every-footfall terrain. Mehhhh... I think I'm just bitter because my heart and lungs simply didn't have the fitness to deal with the up-bits gracefully, so I spent the vast majority of said bits wheezing like an asthmatic budgy, and trying really hard not to whine annoyingly. Definitely need to get in some...

Starting right this second, I'm finally getting serious about losing this mommy pouch I have going on. I'm reinstating (and revising) the dietary plan I had pre- naughty_bride 's wedding: eating...every single daytime nap is enough. I know I'm just over eating and not eating healthy. Workin' on my fitness...

So, recently my farther asked me if I had come across any new and exciting workouts, as he is getting quite bored in the gym. Until now, I have been very selfish. I will devulge to you select few reading...every week and their results will directly determine the amount I spend on them for Christmas) I will devulge the secret to my washboard abs.... BAM!!!! And now you know And Knowledge is Power!

Getting back to the 'wholesome'

I realise I haven't posted here in quite some time... let's just say I've been focusing on university, work and my own inner-peace and 'gratification'.  I want to be free, be my own person, and only the...like you used to. Next step to my 'wholesome' evolution is setting out what I'm doing with my life. Changing my uni degree will probably be a part of it. What have you fellas been upto? :D

Stanchart marathon

I'm in 2 minds whether to do the Stanchart 10km this year. I was all psyched up and ready to go but the doctor has advised no running till 2 months after delivery. That's middle of November which leaves...'please don't run before 2 months are up if not your womb might drop!' Not the most enticing of things to happen. Maybe I could brisk walk the distance but that would take awfully long, won't it

Because I'm a copycat

I've been going to Echo Park almost daily, though for shorter spans than normal. I'm generally doing the gym thing for at least an hour, though. Today went for about 1h22m, I've been warming up with 220... Shoulder's fine with this level, too, so I'm happy. I was, however, unable to do anything more than can be generously described as "one rep". Still, it's a nice step in the upwardly direction. :

...person :-)) I QUICKLY figured out that some BIG POP Star was sharing the humble hotel with me. "Maybe Madonna?" Anyway, I went back to my room, studied for a bit and then thought I would go and do some fitness. To get to their sport facilities one has to take a special fitness elevator "situated between rooms 623 and 625", read the instruction. So in this completely empty hotel I walk to the elevator...
