I feel such a pull to certain places right now that I must examine this further. Benelux, France and Basque Country. Neither of them "exotic" to me, more like home-ish. But I really, really want to go, take the camera, explore, meet up with locals... and scoop out possible living spaces, employment and so on. I need a change. Badly.
Well, Air France is no Singapore Airlines but still reasonably comfortable and a far cry from normal US domestic service. At the gate, the agent told us we had "middle and aisle" seats, as opposed to a window+middle seat which SeatGuru had identified for me. Omg. Who would have believed it, I'm still alive! I am feeling SO much better this week! My host parents are leaving tomorrow morning for the weekend, so I'm effectively spending it by myself. Kinda. Tomorrow...year I'm not, and I definitely am not going to change my mind. Especially with the economy being so bad worldwide, I'm going to want to be home with a job. Maybe I can come out as a little mix of both
