OMFG THE JACKET IS DONE. THAT IS ALL.

Well, I'm officially going stayless, as there is no way in hell I'm getting them done. Plus, there are some fit issues that I really don't feel like attempting to fix in oh, three days. Or however many...sure if that's "allowed" for dress code.  They said no wigs, but nothing about hats. We'll see.   Oh, and I may do a bumpad, but I'm waiting to see what the bulk of the petticoats is going to look like

The only thing left to do on the jacket is some hand sewing. I may have to remake the stomacher. I'm not sure if it's going to fit.  Also, there's a big chance I'm going to forego the stays. : / I'm cutting this really really close.  I can't believe Halloween's Friday. EEk.

So far, the jacket is looking better without the stays!  I really like the stays, but they make me look really wide under the jacket.  I don't know if I'll be able to work in them either.  I still have to do all the eyelets, so we'll see what happens when I can actually get them on all the way! I really like the jacket so far though, and will definitely be making more! Whee!

I finished all the boning channels and will have all the boning (hopefully, if I bought enough zipties) put in by tomorrow at the latest. WHOO

My jacket pattern has been shipped. Yay!

I ran out of zipties for the boning.  BLARG!  I severely underestimated the number I'd need. I  figured out that I ordered the jacket pattern on the 19th and I still don't have it!  Normally, I wouldn't... can whip up easily out of muslin cap- have fabric, have pattern apron- not sure if I'll do this or not. fichu- same thing as bumroll It'll go together quickly once I get the pattern for the jacket

I finally got around to ordering the JP Ryan jacket pattern. I must say, the $9 shipping was a bit unexpected! haha. Hopefully that means it'll get here quickly and I can actually start working on it. Blahblah. Oh yes,  and OMG I HAVE 1/4 OF THE BONING CHANNELS DONE. Now I have to go find something to eat.  Jr. Mints perhaps.  NOMNOM

Did I actuall work on the strapless stays!? Why, INDEED.      My dressform is too small for it from working on that swap corset, hence the overlappage at the back   I don't care if the fabric is inaccurate, I love it. No one will see it. Now onto the boning channels. / :
