I traveled a bit around my neighborhood Sunday night, and again Monday morning, putting about 16 miles in toto on my odometer. ...whining that they were the last to be served by the people they refused to pay for services. We can't escape living in areas that are at risk to natural disaster, but we can use some intelligence. Galveston isn't New Orleans. It's not Houston. It's on a barrier island. Enough is enough. If people are stupid enough to stay on them during a hurricane, there should be no hurry to help them.
