My copy of the first two series of Monarchy arrived from EzyDVD today \o/ The third series wasn't available anywhere on their website, but I saw it in at Collins the other day . At $29.95 is Not As...History Geek. There is a reason I had beatonna friended before the spotlight (and yes, you can take that as a "why isn't she on your flist??" moment). Also worth a look: history_time

Not a shock when folks who play MMO's tell me about a DotA song (Defenders of the Ancients? I think its a Warcraft3 type deal, I never played it myself) but its another to hear it on the radio when yer...that I was feeling coming on.  Still, this guy knows the score, as much as he likes to punch up some hawt chix on his compy he knows when its time to Alt-tab the ladies and get back to some pwn.

I think that I totally forgot to post the definition of Ockham's razor. Which is pretty dumb of me, honestly. I should have done this for my first post. Anyway. -- Occam's razor (sometimes spelled...or especially in scientific theories. -- Definition from wikipedia.org -- I have a love of theoretical science. String theory? Why, yes. The Theory of Relativity? Of course! And so on and so forth

My Shame: the real reason purple_smurf won't be able to make it to jennem 's wedding is because it isn't being held at the same time of year as SDCC. TRUFAX. I've always said that when...about my Australian definition of "cold". But really, I totally want to make it over there at a time when I can make it to SDCC or Dragon*Con or similar. If any of you Mac users who have to suffer with Office are tired of the “auto exec” errors when you quit and/or other oddities...to make pdfs - it’s in the OS, but PC people have to jump through many hoops and these plugins are for them. Naturally MS left them in… Anyway, here is the fix for MSOffice:Mac (all versions) .  :-)
