So every year (half year) when the General Conference happens there are two things that come to my mind. Anyone old enough to remember this: On our road trip to GenCon, we drove past Menomanee, WI and DH and I were singing this.  It's not quite the same, but close enough.  That's the best part of road trips.  Sure, they're long, but you find things to entertain you. Enjoy!

Ok, so GenCon Indy was last month (August 13, 14, 15, 16, 17).  It's taken me awhile to sort through all my thoughts about it. The Ram Restaurant and Brewery is one of the staples of the GenCon.  Every year they produce Con influenced menus and beer selections (The names change, the beers stay the same) This year they had a Salvatore themed menu, in honor to the 20th anniversary of Salvatore first Drizzt book. I can personally recommend Bruenor's BBQ and the Apocalypse Ale. 

While at GenCon, Dennis and I attended several presentations by both Wizards of the Coast and by Paizo . The wizards presentation was about the new 4th edition rules.  The message was that they wanted to make the game more playable and yet retain the essence of D&D.  They also showed off the "new" races, classes and spoke about the gameplay.
