Genmaicha
Genmaicha, genmai cha, 玄米茶 : Green tea with puffed and/or roasted brown rice. Its flavor is mild and agreeable and combines the fresh grassy flavor of green tea with the nutty flavor of the rice. Liz says to brew it for NO MORE THAN three minutes with water that's substantially cooler than boiling. She's right. I could live on this tea and assorted snacky foods. Ooooh that toasty nuttiness...
