Oh man. Last night Nick grilled porterhouse steaks. We topped them with sauteed mushrooms and onions and served a side of tomato and avocado salad followed by brownie dessert. IT WAS INSANE. First of...full of stressful calls. I'm anxious about it all. I just gotta get it done and I'll feel a lot better. But first, Kate's making me sushi at her place for dinner tonight! I'd better get moving
Last night's impromptu girls night was quite wonderful. There was lots and lots of laughter and wine and funny stories about boys and all the other good things that come with having a great group of girls...in there. It's hard being a first time gardener. I have no idea what I'm doing! I need the garden fairy to come visit and teach me what to do. Maybe if I put some seeds under my pillow tonight...
Screw chillin' at the house alone. Natalie, Paula, and Christelle & her babies are all coming over for some spaghetti and meatballs! Yay! This is awesome! Except now I have to take a shower and get out of my nightgown. :)
After a failed errand attempt we're back home and Nick is tucked into bed for a pre-work nap. Poor tired guy. This schedule really grates on my nerves someday, I can only imagine how annoying it is for...start stockpiling. I need to pull the trigger and put some stuff up on Etsy. I need to find fall art festivals. I need to let my dream of being an artist out of it's cramped little cage so it can fly!
We totally gave ourselves heat stroke yesterday working in the yard but it was worth it! The gutters are fixed, the giant bushes that reached up to the gutters have been trimmed down to little wooded... I have a LOT on my to do list today... the post office, cleaning the office (aka our junk room), cleaning out my car, and possibly painting the front porch if it doesn't start raining. Heeere we go!

Yesterday was the best kinda day. I started to clean but I got stupid tired so I watched 3 chick flicks back to back instead ( Mad Money , Love and Other Disasters , and Ira and Abby ). Then Kate...coffee instead of making it has blown my litlte mind. I am gonna try to rally and head off to the pool in a bit I think... The girls are chillin out and getting in trouble and I just can't resist
My blood is boiling again today!! Instead of having a fit and giving you a long drawn out explanation, I'm just going to say FUCK THAT and move on. I had a fun evening last night filled with chilling...2 people. It's going to require expanding the garden and a fun adventure in pickling, like, a bushel of green beans so they don't go bad. Oooh, Jen just called and is bringing lunch over. Sweet!
Awesome morning! I headed over to Natalie's for brunch and girl chat on the porch with Nat, Jenny, and Paula. It's Paula's birthday today so we had some drinkies too! On my way home I stopped at one of my favorite thrift stores and found some lovely vintage fabrics: I'm thinkin' nap, then sewing!
It has been a really lovely night. I had a long convos with my besties Natalie and Emily and listened to little Abigail "sing" which is mainly just hollering "da" or "bum" to a tune. lol. Then I threw...for boys night and now I'm sitting around with the perfect combo: a slice of Fellini's white + a glass of pinot + chocolate covered raisins. I woke upin the dumps and will be passing out in heaven
