I've been rehearsing for my next play Godspell four nights a week and tonight we ran through the entire first act.  The director let the cast out early because tomorrow night we're going to be there until 10:30.  It's an ensemble show and there is a lot of chemistry amongst us (the cast) which is good 'cause we're having fun.  I have also worked with some of these people before in other plays which...

what the hell, let's post an entry So today was pretty good. We learned "Prepare Ye" in rehearsal, and it may be the easiest, silliest song ever. We also had quite a good time rehearsing the other two...made a giant one out of construction paper, which seemed to work pretty well. She just had to keep the proportions the same as the smaller pieces of paper. I don't really have anything else to add

...last year because I wanted to do a quick steampunk girl costume, but I never got around to doing it and now I'd rather be a supervillain. Also an alien robot and a glasses girl from the future. Godspell, the school musical, is super fun. There's four kids from Clue in it, including me, and my friend Jessie is in it as well. Everyone's been getting along really well, and it looks like we're submitting...

... I think that was my favorite, because I found the music very, I don't know, evocative, or something. Anyway, it spoke to me. And it gave me my first (and only, except for one verse in a production of "Godspell") solo, in one of our concerts (I think it was in a piece called "Pavane") and my first (and only) paying singing gig, as part of an octet that performed somewhere locally that Christmas season...

Ohhh, wow. GODSPELL is over. :( Whatever shall I blog about now?!?! But it was great... Matt, Isaac, Rebecca, Colo, Keats, Jordan, Nicole, and a ton of other fabulous people made it out to see it.... and I appreciate that greatly! I love that show. However , my weekend is going to pwn!  Along with the 3 performances of The Fantasticks , I have Patricia's performance in Godspell to look forward to as well as my family's homecoming from their California endeavour just in time to pick me up from Joseph rehearsal on Sunday! Speaking of Joseph , I got the small but funny...

So, I'm a little frustrated. I'm a bit beyond posting my every complaint about life in a monster rant on a blog (hearing rants = what my friends are for ;) lol) but sometimes... wow. People just blow...tonight... and stronger still when we open TOMORROW. Ahhh! I'm so excited. I really love this production. Truly, I do. This is one of those rare shows where the cast is kind of like a family, you know?
