It was nice spending some time with Gram this afternoon. She had come to enjoy the Christmas cantata . This year’s theme was Born to Die with music inspired by Glenn Burleigh. The cantata itself...her back to the nursing home. She thoroughly enjoyed herself despite the cold and wind of the season. I do declare that at 99 years of age, that woman has a more active social calendar than I.   LOL

Cadence was baptized yesterday.

I had a memory pop up in my brain today and it got me giggling.  Background:  Grandmom (Dad's mom) died in 1971.  Grandpop (Dad's dad) died about 2-3 years later.  After Grandmom died, Grandpop lived with my Dad and Mom until Grandpop's death.  This event that has me laughing, remembering it, occurred at the family get-together on the day he moved in with my parents.  Grandpop was in a comfy chair...

so, today is the one year anniversary of my great grandmom's death. i've been thinking about her all day; about how much i miss her, and about how much i truly think she has helped me get through cancer from "the other side." i always wonder where she is, if she's looking down on us, if she's happy or okay. i guess i'll never know, and that's what hurts the most. because i don't believe in a heaven...
