My coworker just returned from a two week business trip in Central America and brought everyone back a worry doll from Guatemala. Very cool. I might put it to use in the coming days as I think about... Even though he often seemed like a curmudgeonly little fart, he had to have been happy--in whatever capacity a guinea pig can be, at least. I love him, of course. He has been a damn good pig
Hoooray! Caught a second episode of the giant guinea pigs on South Park! So- funny I had tears in my eyes-so did my old man! Then the guinea pigs turned into to guinea bees and guineasaurus rex! Deffinatley...out w/ my kid(well-really not mine) and try'n have fun. After-all-I really don't think he'll pull any crap infront of them n the kid. He's crazy, but not that bad. So-I've gone on again. Blah! Blah
Never has this user icon, of Terry Pratchett's Death, been quite so appropriate. As Death says in one of Pratchett's books, "There is no justice. There's just me." That's ironic, since one of the great...get a pet, and I've been good about taking care of them. But there's obviously a line somewhere, and this surgery is in a terrible gray area, and I think I've chosen the heartless but reasonable option
There will be an end to guinea pig posts soon - probably :o) From past experience, Mr Beebarf and I know that the easiest way to process the sadness of losing a pet is to focus on caring for one, not... Thank you again everyone for the comments about Colin - he was a lovely little chap, so cute and a good little buddy. May he rest in peace, and may Rowan have a long and happy life with us!
Not a whole lot going on, I guess, I dunno. Just jotting more things down so I don't forget them. - Saw Bill Clinton speak at a rally for Obama - Got A's on all my midterms - Started a painting - Went... his name is Fred but I will probably call him Freddie Piglet (Porkchop), the fatass, my one true love and target of all my affections Freddie, the skinnier but hairier, sweet but skittish little piggy
Five years ago in the history of me... Living in Scotland, as now. Thinking about U.S. politics, as now. Here are excerpts from my journal from October 2003: - "George W. Bush. He's made a mess... That left Millenium the guinea pig alone so we got another one... Melinda. "It's always sad when a guineapig dies... but it's all part of the great cycle of life... the ebb and flo of the universe.
Thank you everyone for your comments on Colin's passing, they were very comforting to both myself and Mr Beebarf. Colin's condition had got so much worse so quickly that the only decision possible was...many abandoned furries out there to whom we can offer so much love (and veggies) it seems churlish not to - and with Mr Beebarf and I both being out a lot, Jasper needs companionship of his own kind
Cuuuuute! Remember when Coke/Pepsi with random flavorings used to be THE shit? Yeeeeeeah. Too bad I'm allergic to all that stuff anyway. Derek and I are getting a guineapig for sure in a couple of...because we're stealing his family's old cage for their guinea pig. I'm excited! I guess it'll help take the place of Caius a little bit. I still miss that cat... I hope he found a good home again
