I was trying to finish off my new site (can't really convince strangers you're a credible site designer if your homepage just says "Soon to be the home of..." but when I turned on my external drive to...following brands: Seagate (3x) Maxtor (actual Maxtor drive, not just this enclosure) Western Digital (2x) Neither of my Fujitsu drives have failed (yet) and I have never owned an IBM-brand drive

I GOT MY COMPUTER TO WORK AGAIN! Well when I say me I mean my bestie Gabby/mogumby. She is a miracle worker. There was a sacrifice however...I had to wipe my entire hard drive so my computer is currently a virgin. No programs, no pictures, no nothing. I have to re download from scratch. That includes music. Still happy to have it back though.

The main drive on my Battlebox computer is giving up. Sometimes it simply isn't recognised by the bios on startup, sometimes it simply disappears from Windows (which is a little frustrating when Windows...drive which is a separate physical hard drive. Once I have Windows on the second hard drive I'll recover what I can from the old drive and then see if a format will bring it back to life. Ho hum..

The post I made yesterday regarding the hard disk upgrade on my laptop stemmed from a hardware issue I mentioned last week, where the screen was starting to fail. Unfortunately, it seems as though it's...to record using Windows, or see whether I can boot my old hard drive as an external USB device into Linux. I'm sure you can guess which option I would prefer!!! I'll keep you posted either way

Following on from this post from last week, my new 250GB hard drive arrived this afternoon. Thus follows the simplest hardware upgrade I have ever had to perform. Connected the 250GB using an external... and I don’t really care whether they trash it or not, as I’ll be putting the 250GB back in when I get it back! It’ll still be interesting to see if they do wipe it. Chuffed? You could say that! :o

My computer's hard drive is full again. Stupid 20GB piece of crap. Right when I was trying to download "Illusion" by VNV Nation onto this thing so I can better work on Rainbow-man's prize fic.
