I woke up with a migraine. Also, I've still got pain in my right side from an ultrasound I had Wednesday. Ultrasounds shouldn't hurt but it appears my liver is way too tender; not the greatest sign but...see the creeks with WATER in them! PS Tech stuff: when this blog gets imported into Facebook (which only lets me import ONE blog) I am wondering if the links and the photos show up...or not
Interesting list. Link is here . Posted as a public service. I'm not the only person who struggles with this. Although the frustration for me is that mine is treatable, except that I can't write my own prescriptions so I'm stuck until I can find a doctor who feels comfortable with these medications and who wants to treat me. Oh well, can't have everything! I haven't won Lotto yet, either.
Don seems to be doing a lot better. Crossing fingers! Lupus and Rheumatic Diseases Group meeting tonight . Final version of the flyer for the upcoming rheumatology talk in Santa Barbara was emailed...org , for more information about our programs and events. Lupus LA's SantaBarbara patient conference is sponsored in part by an unrestricted educational grant from Genentech/Biogen, Idec.
The CDC is recommending we rheumatics be vaccinated for H1N1. Too bad the vaccine isn't here yet. I wonder if sharing living quarters with someone who probably has it is recommended....? But if I've...out! I may have already had it last spring so I'm really hoping that I won't have to endure it again. In the meantime I'm keeping an eye on Don and don't want him to be alone with this, anyway.
People who live with me are supposed to have a flu shot (as am I; I got minealready) because I am immunosuppressed. It seems my B-cell level is 2 and the lowest normal is 80. Boy that Rituxan I had...has H1N1. I hope not. But he's definitely got something. I would call the doctor but I am sure whoever is on call for the weekend would say something like "rest and fluids." Some flu info here .
My friends and I have been talking about this for years now. As an aside I've often wondered why lupus, a disease of inflammation, can be treated with a drug which can cause obesity and thus increase...to begin to deal with their deep-rooted, misplaced anger to make a difference in the tense one-spark-away-from-Armageddon atmosphere. I pray a lot..for peace, tolerance, acceptance, love.
Posting the budget news, as it comes in, here . Getting my Anime Expo photos up here and asking people to please add theirs here . And a lupusdrug shows some promiseat last .
Shouldn't some country song writer start with that one day? Anyway. When I make this many typos (especially in comments on forums etc. WHY is there no function for editing one's own comments EVERYWHERE...on. I am getting old and I'm remembering too many people who are no longer here. Now I know why old people mutter to themselves a lot. Ok. No more muttering. Sweet dreams only :) Hear the music .
Well, I'm significantly immunosuppressed from taking, guess what, immunosuppressants. I also am a group leader and advocate and website owner for people with autoimmune disease, many of whom also take...not a good way to take care of diabetes--particularly now that I'm temporarily back on steroids for my lungs. And since I'm still not exactly feeling 100% please excuse any errors in this post :)
I was hoping an article would appear with this information so I could link to it. I am aware of how deadly the regular flu can be; my stepfather went into the hospital with some sudden-onset breathing...would have to pass right under it..) and thus never see Dad again. Just in case I didn't feel badly enough, an aunt helpfully reminded me I would regret it all of my life! Anyway. The flu sucks
