Today I worked my last at the ignominious House of Value. It was actually a little bit sad, because I have some really awesome friends there, but I needed to get out of there before I got too comfortable...pusher, Cady..." :D). I got emails from UCL and Durham Uni thanking me for my application. I was so excited. Now I'm on the websites looking up my course and beaming :D Hope you all are well, gang
School is still tiring. I'm actually WORKING in my free periods *gulp* I absolutely love our American History course because we're doing Civil Rights from 1865 onwards, and it's fascinating. I've always...: (TALKING ABOUT MEDIEVAL MARRIAGES) NOW, WHAT DOES A MAN WANT FROM A WIFE? JOE : SEX? TEACHER : YES, BUT WHAT ABOUT AFTERWARDS? ME : A CIGARETTE? LOLOLOLOL SHUT UP, I'M HARDLY EVER FUNNY, 'KAY
Hey gang! Stayed over at Mario's last night, watched Les Quatre Cent Coups and Frasier - odd mixture, but it worked. Today we went to Bournemouth and looked in every bookshop there for aaaaages. Oh...commentary for the pilot is damned lulzy, because everytime someone on screen says something cheesy or has ginormous hair, you can hear James B. Sikking and Joe Spano pissing themselves about it :
Old news, but new to me: School Falsely Tells Students Classmates Dead To Warn Against Drink-Driving . Reminds me of this entry I made after our school attempted a rather less dramatic version. Also...has cancer - bad news :( Actually, on the subject of Mario (-ish). I lol'ed at Hill Street Blues so hard the other night when Joyce called Furillo 'Pizzaman'. Mario gets that all the time. Heh
Oh man, I wish Mario was back from Italy *wibble*. I want my bf, and he's gone til Wednesday *sob, wail, rending of garments etc* Crikey Moses, I am bo-red right now. The only thing keeping my awake...show in recent memory and is essential viewing for all lovers of quality entertainment. " The only thing I'd disagree with is 'most groundbreaking show in recent memory ' because 1981, wtf? ;D
REASON #44651 I LOVE HILL STREET BLUES : HILARIOUS CENSOR-PROOF HOYAY RENKO : DID YOU GET OUR APPLICATIONS FOR THE EQUESTRIAN? LT. HUNTER : SURE, ANDY - TOP OF THE PILE! I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO...list our French teacher gave us and we're supposed to have been writing a journal of our holidays. I guess I'll have to go back through my LJ entries and write them up in French. Fnarr, fnarr...
Hill Street Blues broke my heart! When Furillo read out the letter Esterhaus had left, and it was divided into items just like his roll call. *sob* I had a dream last night that I went into a synagogue...must be in the movies or on TV (but doesn't have to be an actor/actress). The person can be specific to a role (e.g. Jennifer Elhe's Elizabeth Bennet) or just the person him/herself. 2) Post a picture!
Thinking about shows I am a big fan of, and have seen several seasons of (primarily House, Monk and Scrubs ), I have received the following epiphany: The second series of any show is always the best/funniest/cleverest/coolest...! I checked the programme information, and Esterhaus dies tonight. Eek. Goddamn it, I am looking forward to curling up with a nice cup of tea and the telly tonight. Working, like, sucks :D
Les Mis was superb! Absolutely brought the house to its knees. The cast were equal to anything you'd hear in the West End or on Broadway, and I don't say that just because I know a lot of them. Seeing...relaxing night's sleep. Gotta be up for work tomorrow, as it's the demi-annual STOCKTAKE-WHICH-ALL-EMPLOYEES-MUST-ATTEND-AND-OH-YES-WE-DON'T-KNOW-WHEN-IT-WILL-BE-OVER-SO-DONT-MAKE-ANY-PLANS. Oysh.
This Uncyclopedia article on William Faulkner is probably the funniest thing I have seen today, in an elitest sort of way. Went sea swimming for the first time this year yesterday evening with my brother...ever. I also like the way they talk quite formally ("I haven't been much of a friend to you lately, Henry. I intend to do better."). People don't do that enough any more. [/is prematurely old
