I've got some more gaming terrain up on eBay--a couple of pieces designed by krenolds , and painted by me. First up is a new fireplace , this one designed with a much wider opening--and...a wine barrel, from the Water Cavern Accessories Mold #85 --but that one needs a bit more "dressing up" before I'm ready to display it (or sell it, as the case may be). JD
After many, many man/woman-hours of work, krenolds and I (with a timely assist from seankreynolds ) have finally completed our first set of Hirst Arts Descent game tiles ! What's... and a coin pile. The other rope bridge--with the giant's throne way in the back. And there you go! We present these to Andrew, our Descent Overlord, tonight! JD
This weekend, krenolds , seankreynolds , and I spent a good deal of time painting the Hirst Arts Descent game tiles for our friend Andrew. We made quite a lot of progress, so I...is actually a series of doorways; the doors are still in process. One of the larger pieces. That's it for today! I'll show you the finished doors, coin piles, and treasure chests soon! JD
Specifically, dental plaster. Okay, you're confused. I'll back up. Years ago, seankreynolds got into molding stuff using Hirst Arts Castle Molds . He tried to get me into it, but I was just...it shouldn't be much longer. When I've got some more pieces to show you--well, interesting pieces, anyway; the rubble markers aren't much to look at--I'll post them. JD
A gentle reminder, in case you've forgotten: I've got a couple of terrain pieces up for sale on eBay: The one on the left is a freestanding fireplace , with a removable fire (in...on my blog, I'll throw in an accessory piece! I also expect to have more items up for sale starting tomorrow, so stay glued to that LiveJournal! ::grin:: But for now, I'm back to work ... JD
As you may remember, krenolds , seankreynolds , and I have been converting some Dwarven Forge and putting it up for sale on eBay. We sold some recently, including these two pieces...of the sale. AND! If you have the winning bid, and you mention this blog post, I will throw in a bonus terrain accessory: a coal shovel for the fireplace, or a water bucket for the cistern. JD
JD's got three Dwarven Forge conversion pieces up on Ebay right now. All three are floor/wall sections with fireplaces made out of Hirst Arts mold pieces added. They're very cool. Go buy them now! You can see pics on JD's blog , or view the actual Ebay auctions here , here , and here .
Last week, I showed you photos of three unfinished Master Maze/Hirst Arts conversions I'd been working on. Today, I have two of those, plus a third, up on eBay! First up is the Forgotten Reliquary...removable log fire! Here are the photos of the finished pieces, to whet your appetites and get you in a bidding state of mind ... Remember: Bid early, and bid often! JD
Being a longtime fan of Dwarven Forge's Master Maze , and of scratch-building and converting miniatures terrain, it was only a matter of time before I heard of, and started experimenting with, Hirst...on. These are just rough versions, still in progress, but I'm thinking the final results will be fairly impressive. I'll post more images when I've finished more work on them. JD
When I first saw the new Hirst Arts Molds for Sci-Fi stuff I was kinda eh about it. N ow I am seeing people designing X-Com type levels with the stuff !!! Or at least planning it.
