Continued from part 3, here . During training, we got demonstrations of certain programmes from various streets. One of the demos was that of a "tableaus of famous women" from 1905 street, which...me to start over... I'm going to quit while I'm ahead. Let me know what you think, and if you want to know more about anything that I've (briefly) mentioned, don't hesitate to ask for elaboration! 

Continued from part 2, here .   Last Sunday was a special events day: Weddings Through Time. Essentially, a wedding (or, in the Fort's case, three) on each street, run by all of the historical interpreters...would normally never see such eras mixing like this.    Check out the groom from 1920 with the big fat lipstick mark on his cheek from his wedding reception. ;) Another post shall follow, here . 

Continued from here .  I begin my day here, at the historically innaccurate (for 1920s street) but historically significant Al Rashid Mosque . We have a changing room in its basement. Several...immediately post-war, so 1918). In the next post shall be the brides of 1885, 1905 and 1920s street from the Weddings Through Time special event day, plus the Tableau programme from 1905 street.  

All right everyone, this is the post that you have been waiting for! (and it was just eaten by my stupid computer, so I'm retyping this because I love you guys and I love the Fort ). Fallen Bloom by ~ Beboots on deviant ART Depressing stuff first: I'm also a little bit bummed out today (at least, in the afternoon). You see, two weeks (-ish) ago, dad announced to the family... it's a like 10 minute walk to get from one end of 1920 street to the other. This is a massive park. No joke. Anyway, I've always wanted to ride in the streetcar in costume, so... yeah. :)

So, if you've been following along, I now have a job at Fort Edmonton . And it is glorious. :D The people there are amazingly nice and enthusiastic, for the most part, and the job itself is very fun...them. This was a joke. A very awesome one. That's just how we do things here at Fort Edmonton.   Oh, and soon enough I'll post a photograph of myself in each of my two 1920s outfits. Eventually.

were seized and feasted upon at once. -Pride and Prejudice and Zombies Okay, so I just had the most awesome training session ever, you guys.   First of all, I'd like to explain a few things....of it was to build teamwork, to test our knowledge, and to work on emergency procedures. But those are just excuses. :)  . Man, I love Fort Edmonton. I'm so happy to be working there this summer.

Вчера, после вечерней тренировки говорили с Л.. Просто стояли, курили и говорили. Л. по направлению от фирмы отправили работать в Николаев. Город ей нравится, только климат влажный. Люди хорошие, только...Ценить, пока ОНО есть. Любить, если уходит. С Л. все так и произошло. Это не плаксивые сантименты, но трезвый взгляд на вещи: "Сей-час у меня нет возможности во всей полноте практиковать айкидо".
