Another (albeit tiny) Sixth Doctor fic, because I can.  And because this idea, once it popped in my head,  was too good to pass up.  It's a crossover.  :) the Doctor wasn't in the habit of making quick...looked up, goggle-eyed, grinning like a madman.  If it was at all possible, his eyes and smile grew wider as they fell on the Doctor. " Nice suit!"  they said in unison, and each went his own way.

I read an article this morning about the New Hitchhiker's Guide Novel and I can't quite wrap my brain around it. I just can't imagine how they could do this. As far as I'm concerned the entire H2G2 universe was wiped out by Vogons on May 11, 2001 and now only lives on in our memories. Gah! I tried to put this in perspective for those of you that don't know who Douglas Adams is, but I can't. No analogy...

When you see this, quote Douglas Adams in your journal. I suggest we just find a television and something to drink while we watch it. We need some serious room service. It's how I want to live my life. I don't think it's my favourite Adams quote ever, but it's the most memorable one I can think of from Mostly Harmless , the last Adams book I read. And it's just general genius. ♥♥

No, it's not my age. But we just finished watching "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy." I haven't read it in decades, but the movie is delightful and most delightful of all was watching it with my family, including soon-to-return-to-college BD, who has read them more recently. This wasn't a book I thought would translate well to the screen, but it did, and it was delightful to see, or in some cases...

THE HITCHHIKER'S GUIDE TO DTBL The show opens on a long shot of the house. The scene changes to the interior, where we see Spanky and Wooldoor in the upstairs hallway standing around. They both look in the direction of Clara and Ling-Ling's door. The camera cuts to an image of the door. A sign reading "DO NOT OPEN THIS DOOR UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!" in very large letters hangs from the doorknob...
