It started life as the front hall closet/coat closet. And now after an hour of stripping the pieces out. I love destruction. It now after a trip to home depot to spend $128.00 on shelving is a functioning...paid off. I love bonus reward points. So technically the closet did not cost anything. Today, I learned how a garbage disposal works. Garbage disposal, by the way, is a device found under your sink used to grind your leftovers to tiny little pieces or you simply see one of these as a prop...though that my hand now smells like grease so I will be spending the whole night washing my hands with every hand soap i could possible find. Overall, I feel more accomplished than dirty. =
climbed back up into the attic and fixed the insulation. this is no easy feat, it is just an opening in the ceiling and i only have a short ladder, so i have to pull myself up with arm strength and then...got most of the plastic up on the windows. i am trying to figure out what to do with the sliding glass door as that bleeds the most heat, but kai lan and lucie keep eating all the plastic i put up
the new light on the ceiling fan in the living room casts a reddish glow. that, in conjunction with the pellet stove going, makes the room just so warm and inviting. i love being out there now. the pellet...if it keeps at the pace it is on. and that is with us running it at the highest temp for a few hours. so it looks like we will be having to get another ton of pellets sometime end of jan/beg of fe
FINALLY after almost a week it is up and running. i had to drill a hole in the floor and run new wire up, string it across the basement and hook a new breaker into the breaker box except the breaker we...still open as we need to get a face plate but yeah! it all works. PHEW. i am exhausted. this has been a nightmare of an experience. but now i know how to do it in the future if the need shall arise
Finally, a chance to relax! It's been a busy week, and I haven't had a whole lot of time to sit down and put down the thoughts being tossed about in my head. I had a great deal of fun at Con on the...is working against me. Aside from that, the week has been fairly uneventful. I'm used to my daily routine again, which I suppose is a good thing. I just need to make writing part of the routine again.
Busy weekend at Casa Clancy. Friday I had the day off so I could watch the kids as daycare was closed. Ended up being Marla and I both being off. She ended taking Ryan over to Doc-in-a-box to get his arm...6 months combined I think. Anyway, moving SLOW this morning. Lotsa Advil on board, worshiping at the Altar of Pepsi, and Finally, FINALLY they have work for me after sitting her for 2 hours! Yay
Blue blue blue! Not white! Blue! (Though the ancient Greeks would call it bronze.) It's drying darker than I expected, but it's really quite nice.
