Actually, I got home last night after recovering far more quickly than anyone anticipated.  All things considered, I'm not feeling too bad.  The pre-op literature was pretty scary with its warning that I could be incapacitated for weeks, if not months, as  were the Anesthetist's warning that a spinal block (my preference) also had its potential for disaster - but the chances of being paralyzed were...

~Today we watched SchoolHouse Rock in English class :D It totally brought my mood up. I wanted to sing Conjunction Junction, but I was too embarassed. I was thinking when the bus finally came into my home town. It is not the four walls of our house that is home. To me, it is the whole town. Whenever I've been away for a while. Just knowing I'm back in this town, makes me happy. I feel a lot safer. Cause it's a place I know and a place where I can mostly be myself. So to me, it is the town that is my home. So I'm back at my place. My room has been made into a storage area, so I've been forced to sleep on the couch. But that's okay. Better than sleeping outside, or not knowing where I'll sleep, right? (Though...are good things about coming back! Like seeing old friends and co-workers. But... I'm not thinking coherently... ha, I don't even know if that's the right word to use or not... So I'll just... stop

In just under an hours time ill be making way for Aberdeen in the pitch black as its raining cats and dogs. I cant say I'm looking forward to the drive but it will be nice to get back home on Sunday. The trip will take me 9 hours to complete, all 550 odd miles. The hardest part for me isn't the drive, but rather saying goodbye to all the people who made an impression. I'm already missing everyone...

I'm working from home today. It's 94 degrees outside, and the cats are doing what they do best: sleep. Warm furry bodies, stretched out under that hot hot sun... Undeniably crazy, those two.
