I know I stopped providing updates mid-honeymoon, so hopefully the upcoming pictures (*looks pointedly at Brian*) and a few more highlights will suffice: If ever visiting the Big Island, I cannot recommend snorkeling in Kealakekua Bay strongly enough. It's a beautifully sheltered area on the western side of the island (therefore with the better weather, especially in the morning) with some of the...
...the best for last... depends on whether we were just high on mountain air in Asheville or not. (If you've missed the nine previous installments, because of how I adjusted the date, then hit the "honeymoon" tag at the bottom of this entry and enjoy yourselves with more posts about buildings and food.) Anyway, we rolled into Asheville just before 8 on Friday, only to find that about 200,000 people...
Well, we are in Cromwell, CT right now, using the hotel's guest PC and we are having an absolute blast. The only downside* is that the power unit for Marie's laptop, where I've written the next two entries...workers would have chased us down with rocks and bottles. So that's what's going on with us. Y'all take care and I'll update again when we get home. :-) *Oh, and our feet hurt. That, too
...to wish everyone who is getting married that day, soon after, or later GOOD LUCK with everything! Its been busy where I'm at and I'll be happy when we finally get to the day and have it and hit the outer banks of NC for our honey moon. On that note... Where is your honeymoon location?? I love mine (ocean and putt putt as far as the eye can see) but what is your's going to look like? :D HOORAY!
Chris organised our whole honeymoon , but it wasn't a surprise for me because I don't like surprises :P At first, we were THISCLOSE to going to Seychelles , until he tried to bookflights. Turns out, it takes 1 day to get there, and 1 whole day back (thanks to non-direct flights), despite it only being about 5hrs from Singapore. That really threw a spanner in the works, because I was so keen on Seychelles...
Snorkeling is fun, especially when you find a super-tucked-away-beach where sea turtles hang out. White jets with the Rising Sun logo on the tail? Not commercial airliners, from Japan or otherwise...up and goes down at all sorts of odd hours. But I've never had trouble sleeping...until I visit a place where the sun goes down promptly at 7:00 every night. Go figure. More to come, I'm sure.
I would go into a long narrative description of the wedding, but frankly I'm not sure I'm best qualified to do so - I was somewhere between "wanting to turn tail and run" and "disappearing into a puff...years old. We'll have to see what we can find around here to celebrate. I'm just not sure we'll be able to find anything really special, though; I mean, really, what else is there to do , here?
Hi All, You guys are so helpful! I originally didn't think FH and I could do a honeymoon as we're spending all our funds and help from our parents on the wedding itself and originally, I was ok with this. Now, the more planning I do, the more I'm thinking I actually would like one. However, with all the money used or budgeted already, we really don't have much to work with. FH has vacation time coming...
