Yea, it's windy out. And cold. Eesh. I won't survive the winter. Pulled out another futon/blanket thing last night, and spent an hour or so curled up before I was warm enough to fall asleep. XD Oh dearie...her that dinner is tasty. Like I'm lying. Hey, this is lj, I can bitch. In other news. Dressing as a host for halloween (!) and going clubbing with senpai and Kelly. It'll be a damn good week, yo
Last Friday It was Okaasan's birthday, so I made dinner. Thankfully I had brought some Shake 'n' Bake from home to use for making chicken, and thankfully I can read ingrediants well enough to figure...the test this morning, there was a mosquito in the room (I saw it), and it bit both my feet. I thought they had died by now! This weekend also is full of plans. I'll surprise you with them next week
Ok! As of Saturday at 7:16am I am on my way to Tokyo for what I believe willl be one of the best weekends of my life! I am offically going to 3 concerts over the 3 day weekend and hanging out with 3 amazing...that I only half understand and other things like parties for new years or other large drinkingholidays. *shurgs* oh well Thats allI cant hink of right now. I am off to do moer homework ^^ bye bye
Okee... ik betwijfel dat veel mensen dit zullen begrijpen. Maar ieder jaar is in november NaNoWriMo , wat een soort schrijfwedstrijd is met als doel in een maand tijd een verhaal van minstens 50.000 woorden...weekend before, and there could be a write-in on the weekend later, but there'll be more write-ins. But there's only ONE kick-off party... That really calls for a sincere, very frustrated "dammit"
So apparently, I'm being called "the girl with the purple backpack" around the neighborhood. I was walking out with Okaasan and Reize yesterday morning and when I was waving goodbye, some of the people... Rieko-sensei, you're famous. As for the other girl, she's doing a home stay in the same neighborhood I am, but we had never seen each other before and had no idea. This is quite uncanny, isn't it
Okay, quick status update. In order to register for the test, I had to get to Kyoto or Osaka by Friday, which didn't happen. I would have prefered to take it this December, but oh well. Surprisingly...friend). As for today's plans, I'm off to try to find the only Catholic church I know of in Hirakata. Apparently, it's a big and famous (in the area) church with a priest who speaks Portugese
Okay, lightning speed update! I'm sorry in advance for typos. I meant to update yesterday while waiting for my host family, but I forgot the lab was closed on Sundays. Some random notes first: 1. I've...I'm more at a fifth level, because or sixth level they already expect you to know 900 kanji. Ha! I sure don't! I'm sure I could recognize the 600 for 5th level, but even that might be stretching it
So its offically Thursday, the 4th day I have been here and I think everything is going ok so far. The last two days I have had lunch with my speaking partner. He is a good time. I gave him his hat...do. T_T On Saturday I get to move into my host family's house. I am so excited! I have a 5 year odl sister, a house mom and a dad who is a high school teacher. But now I have to run off to school
So... I have classes I want. I had to fiddle with the schedule to make them work, because there are two 80-minute sessions for the lecture courses a week, but they don't fall into a convienient MW or...the + is. Well... I still have a little while until I can register for classes, stupid high number that I got. I feel like going back to Japan... you know... where people speak Japanese. Consistently
Six days, and then I'm off to DC. Ten days and I'm off to Germany. Excuse me while I freak out. M'still not sure what to take as gifts for my host family, who seem awesome from the emails we've exchanged. And I'm not packed. I must go rectify that problem.
