For the first time ever there will be an Icelandic team in a major international tournament in football (soccer to some). The Icelandic women's team  in football just qualified for the UEFA WOMEN'S EURO 2009 which is to be held in Finland.

I'm just being amused at the whole Iceland affair at the moment. It truly is a bizarre situation, but I like the way they rally round ! But it gets better - I particularly like the one with the chaps with flat caps and pipes.
