Hello all! My mother has been having a mega issue with her psoriasis as of late. Due to the cracking and peeling skin her leg keeps getting infected. With her being diabetic this is especially bad because...because of her issues with anything chemical. So, do you lovely people know any way of getting rid of psoriasis or a way of treating it so that it doesn't peel and crack and become infected? TIA
My tired body craves warmth (and I just posted about being cold in New England, so this a pretty logical follow up), so I'm looking at investing in a hot water bottle. (Also useful if I move and don't...mattress in the middle of the night. Since this is an alternative to an electric blanket (obviously not natural) I was hoping for something a bit cheaper, but maybe that's not an option? Suggestions
Baby boy (4.5 months) has a fever and is very fussy after getting his shots yesterday. Fever is 100.9 which I know isn't danger zone, but tylenol hasn't made it go down any - should I just ride it out...doesn't get too high or should I go buy some motrin or something else to give him? Yes, first time mom here, and my mom is out of town and not answering her phone or I would be asking her. ;-) TIA
So I ended up taking my son to his pediatrician this morning because he spike a really high fever (102.4). He definitely has swine flu. I tried giving him some TamiFlu this afternoon after he had drank...down. I know nausea/vomiting is one of the side effects, but for those of you that had to give it to your little ones, how did you get it down and have it stay down? Should I try it on an empty stomach
To preface this, my husband has a confirmed case of Swine flu. We spent a few hours in the ER on Thursday and are currently in quarantine. My son started getting sick today. Initially, I attributed his...activity level remains normal (though I am wary about the 101.2 and may just call the nurse's line tomorrow). I gave him Motrin before bed and plan to alternate Tylenol and Motrin until he feels better
asking for a friend is it safe to give kids (14 months) mucinex? she's obviously asked her doc who said it was ok. I was just under the impression that you didn't give kids any of that medicine under 4 I think. (Not sure what to tag it with)
Hey guys! So yesterday morning I woke up with 2 rather yucky cold sores. I have gone back in the memories and looked at what people do for theirs. My question for those of you who get them: How long do...all times inbetween peroxide treatments. Are there any foods you guys think I should be staying away from while I have these that may help clear these things up quicker? Thanks for your input guys!!
http://www.wired.com/magazine/2009/10/ff_waronscience/3/ This is a ridiculously long and one-sided article that I found interesting. My question to you is (whether you read the link or not), vaccines...get the mumps and measles and rubella and even the new chicken pox shot... but they will not get a flu shot.) Do you think parents who don't (or do) get their children vaccinated are irresponsible
So, it's me here, with the sick twins. One of the babies is really having a rough time with it. She can't breathe through her nose easily, and she's also teething hardcore. So, she doesn't want to eat...snore. For like, 30 seconds. OH - and she also broke out into a rashy thing, now that I think about it. On her torso and her upper leg. Have you ever heard of a rash being connected to a cold in babies
Hello all, Do any of you know about natural remedies for the symptoms of Lyme disease? One of my relatives has been diagnosed and is also taking conventional medications but is extremely tired and achy...any supplements or specific foods (aside from her generally healthy and varied diet) that would be especially helpful? Alternately, any foods that might aggravate her symptoms? Thanks so much
