Horrible, horrible weather today -- mid-thirties; strong, gusty wind that kept switching directions; and rain. I jogged part of the way home after closing the store, partly in an attempt to warm up, and...he has a conflict, he needs to tell us so she can avoid scheduling him on days with late-afternoon classes. ... So, having told this story to my Sunday school class, my coworkers, my friend Susan, and my family, I am now going to tell the internet: At about 7:00am this morning, I was awakened by a 1.5 inch (approx...was on the verge of being converted... Which is, granted, a dream that one wants to wake up from, but not if waking involves a flash of blind panic over being attacked by giant spiders. *sigh

Today Mom and I: 1. ate breakfast at Friendly's. 2. shopped at Target, which in my case meant buying new laundry bags and new shirts, since my old ones had massives holes or were getting ragged about... except I don't want to strip it out, which means I'm going to have to do some delicate revision work once I get to the end of this blasted section. 10,900 words and counting on this chapter. Argh

My mom is up for a visit. She arrived shortly after 7:30pm, while I was putting away my laundry. We tried to go to Simeon's, and then to the tapas place, but their waiting lists were 30-45 minutes long...Ragman's instead. (Not that Ragman's is bad! They do very nice sandwiches.) Then we came back to my place and had pflaumenkuchen, and now I am off to bed because we have a longish day planned tomorrow

My computer crashed yesterday. I don't know what happened. It was fine when I went out to the laundromat; when I came back 45 minutes later, it woke from 'sleep,' made a distressed noise, and died. I am alive and mostly well, though this is the time of year when 'mostly well' can tip into 'deathly ill with a cold that might as well be the flu' at the drop of a hat, so... *sigh* Also, the air has...love the story, it's just that by this point I am so sick of it as well. So hey, victory! I got the story done and posted just under the wire (11:53 for part 1, 11:55 for part 2), and though I'm sure if I read it again today, I'll find at least twenty stupid little things I...gets tonight, the less chance of him being really horribly ill on Saturday, which is kind of important because he's opening alone and PM will be pissed off if she has to cover for him on the weekend

Today we did the life cycle of butterflies. Once again, I ignored the book, this time because my cunning plan was to start by asking the kids what they knew about butterflies. Cobbling their answers together...of a scrapbook created from the kids' art, but that was apparently done during the service. Ah well. The food was good, and free, which is always worthwhile. :-) And in half an hour, I'm off to work
