Jenny was behind the counter at Pixie Dust, in case anyone needed a last-minute Homecoming dress. There were lots and lots of formal - type dresses , plus tuxedos and suits . And, of course... they mustn't forget new shoes . After a while, Jenny went and yanked a dress in her size off the rack and studied it with a critical eye for a moment. It would do. Jenny couldn't find her cigarettes. That would teach her to make fun of people who lost stuff on the radio. Well, no, actually, all it would do would be annoy her greatly. Anyone coming into Pixie Dust was going to have to deal with a cranky, nicotine-deprived clerk, but the store was open.

While Jenny may have had a really excellent reason for blowing off work last week, that was not the case this week, so here she was, except for when she was at the student council meeting, sitting behind the counter and pondering if anyone would mind if she rearranged the mannequins into poses from the Kama Sutra . Pixie Dust was open.

Jenny had encountered a few skunk-types on her way into town, and had decided they probably wouldn't add much to the store's decor. So she'd posted a polite (for her) sign on the door, way down at skunk eye level, and set out a few dishes full of booze on the sidewalk as additional encouragement for the skunks to bugger off. She was innovative like that.

As per usual for Friday (stop laughing), Jenny arrived on time to Pixie Dust and tidied up the store a bit, adjusted the mannequins' clothes to be a bit more mannequin-slutty since she figured that would sell better, and then camped out behind the counter with a pack of cigarettes. Workshops were done for the summer and life was good. Pixie Dust was open.
