I FINALLY HAVE IT. No CD should ever be this hard to find. But whatever, it's finally mine! Being a Jurassic Park junkie, it was just a must-have for my soundtrack collection. Come on,...only one who raised her hand. XD Does that really make me that lame? Oh, and I'm doing my huge essay project in that class on Jurassic Park anyways. I should bring the CD in as a prop or something.

I sat down yesterday afternoon and started idly playing with the various different Shaft albums I have, and before I knew...because of the inherent sonics of the delivery format. If the platters are properly cared for, they can often yield fantastic sound and can sometimes cover for limitations in the original recordings.
This past weekend, I was out of town for a conference and, aside from visiting my brother and his family (my 2-year-old nephew is way cute!), I managed to visit cjmr & d_84 , finally...anyone know that John Williams, giant of film score composition, wrote the theme for Lost in Space ? I just found out when I looked up information about the Lost in Space TV show last night:
I am absolutely floored with the new El Cid . In addition to the spirited performance, which completely blows away James Sedares' lackluster take on it for Koch, I really like how the sonics bridge a...might mean that we'll finally get a decent presentation of the Williams' sublime contribution to Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom , hands down my favorite Indy score as a stand-alone listen.
Well that was damn random!! I got an e-mail today from a bloke at work asking if I want to go see a concert in Canary Wharf. So I go ... Its only the bloody London Symphony Orchestra playing Film-music themes open-air for free! HOLY COW That was absolutely fantastic!!!! Apparently its a yearly event, will most CERTAINTLY be going again next year!!
