His room had looked . . . forlorn would probably be the best way to put it, cleaned out thoroughly of all the mess, leaving only a bit of debris washed up in the corners - dust, bits of string, old assignments... And, as so many before him, he now made his way to the causeway to await his final taxi off the island. Life really sucked some times. [[Open, but I may be slowplaying for most of the day.]]

When Jude had woken up Saturday morning with absolutely no memory of who he was, he had promptly rolled over and gone back to sleep. Woke up, foraged for food, played video games, slept some more. In other...weekend. At least he was well-rested at work and once again futzing with Things That Should Not Be Put on Sticks. Today's attempt: chili cheese fries. Monday mornings were not kind to the frequently comatose. Especially one forbidden from ever having caffeine ever again. The cook was giving him a dirty look for being curled up behind the counter with his head pillowed on the specials board. He might wake up upon hearing the door open. Possibly not.

Jude had been pleased to learn that the promised raise for showing up to work in drag had actually materialised. It had also led to getting '(Dude) Looks Like a Lady' stuck in his head for most of the... Someone had given Jude a cookbook. Someone had given Jude a Chinese cookbook. Someone needed to tell Jude that not all food belonged on sticks. Jude couldn't even attempt to mirror his boss's efforts in getting the staff to work. That level of WTF took skill to accomplish. No, instead Jude was going in the opposite direction. There was a reason... the angle of his head seeming to indicate that he was not, in fact, asleep at all, but merely studying the half-finished specials board lying on the counter in front of him with great intensity

Jude sat on his backpack, board across his knees, confirming travel plans with his parents over the phone. Loudly. In Polish. This was it. The big trip. Away to Toronto with his bouncy, hyper, not-even... Oh, this was going to be the best vacation ever . . . . chimichanga . [[Establishy because the laptop is being packed up in a second. There was a possible threat of rain in the air, but Setsuna didn't mind. The clouds were heavy, but some sun was breaking through, and she knew that with her new powers, even the strongest storm would...than not, they were ways in which to show her superiority over all these humans in the next few days.
