One Show I have been watching alot lately due to my former job firing me, is a show called "kitchen nightmares". Now for those of you who havnt heard of the show, let me just give you a basic description...is real life and you cant get bye by having a snobby attitude and pretending things are fine, when you obviously not experienced enough. I'm currently unemployed. It's not too bad because I find ways to pass the time but it does make me feel fairly useless whenever I think about it. Looking for a job during this time is especially difficult... no need to make it), honey, and an oven. It is practically idiot-proof and now I have enough meat for the next few days. Hooray for me. I have to say, cooking is immensely satisfying when done right
Lessons learned: 1. Let the chicken marinate longer than the 5 minutes or so you brilliantly decided on. 2. Don't add too much corn starch/flour, or the resulting sauce will be more solid than liquid...is more of an art than a science, so this isn't terribly discouraging. I have another batch of drumsticks to experiment on. On the other hand, I am truly awful at most fine arts. Final Grade : C
By the title I am referring to my belated drive to live independently within my means, no easy task when one lives in Manhattan. Right now I'm waiting on the first soy sauce chicken I've made on my own...before the soy sauce, which has made the resulting mixture congeal very quickly and made it difficult to spread all over the six drumsticks. Fingers crossed that they still taste right when I'm finished
My kitchen sink got fixed! No more floods in the kitchen! It all started when my Kitchen sink overflowed again. I went downstairs for something and noticed the ceiling leaking from the water seeping through...sketching in my book. It makes me happy when I get random compliments like that. Anyway, now I know not to rely on my Landlord. I'll just go straight to Maintenance if I need something fixed again
Well, this is just great. My kitchen flooded just now. I was sitting on the computer, when I heard the trickling of water hitting linolium. I went to look in the kitchen, and what do you know, there's...from either. It smells like Laundry water, but I checked down in the Basement, and no one was doing clothes. I'm more worried about my Cat getting into it (she probably won't, but accidents do happen.
ARG!$#@%#@~~~!!!!! The Bashville Predators stunk the joint up again last night, letting The Calgary Flames score 4 in the 1st period. So what did they do about it? They let them score 7 goals the...probably like it no matter what as long as Gordon Ramsey was in it. Last night he went to some place in New Jersey with a bunch of Meatheads running seafood place. Ah, the comedy never stops.
