Today's Thursday. This makes me happy because: 1) Supernatural tonight! It looks all Dean-angsty, which is how I like him, YESPLZ MOAR TEERS. 2) Chewy McLipSmack isn't here on Thursdays, making my... I adore not hearing the smacking and slurping and chewing all day long. But 3) is the best. The 30 Rock season premiere IS ON HULU.COM RIGHT NOW A WEEK EARLY !!!! And I am watching it!!!!!!!
Argh, Mondays. MONDAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYS. Argh. But the following cheered me up. Some guy used computer knowledge to create a motion sensor device plugged into a blender to keep his cats off... of his poor cats being scared witless, and you have a great Monday picker-upper. The first video is EPIC LULZ. I also love the very last video of the black cat the best. The Blender Defender
I would like to offer you a break in your day, in order to ply you with some magnificence. Behold. Also: "You wouldn't dare!" *gurgle gurgle* *gurgle gurgle* "Drink!" "Oh deputy! De-pew-ty!" I know this and many other Looney Tunes cartoons by heart, especially "Rabbit Seasoning," another classic. This is how I've been spending my lunch break!
marciaelena , I'm thinking specifically of you, but this goes out to anyone else who enjoys the show. Is there anyone else? Yesterday I was linked (via Jezebel.com) to this really cool Mad...each episode, big enough for your desktop, or, if you like, to order on Zazzle.com. It's called Mad Men Illustrated . Go check them out -- the art is fantastic. I have Joan up as my wallpaper now
I don't have an icon of Donna, so Nine will have to do. Coming in November at only $19 is this Adipose plushie from Underground Toys. You will recall that this little guy is actually a blob of fat from the Doctor Who Series 4 episode "Partners in Crime." I went looking at Amazon.co.uk and couldn't find any, so perhaps this is a new product all around. If you were wondering, WANT!
I have been wasting HUGE amounts of time this morning with Sesame Street.org! I was looking for a summary of a new Sesame Street DVD that's coming out next week ( Sesame Street: Abby in Wonderland if...love the really old clips; Bert had a bigger nose back then! LOL. In my icon you'll note Herry Monster in one of my favorite songs, a Sesame play about how flowers grow. Cookie Monster plays the rain
I've been invited by Flist member drewshi to contribute to the rebirth of The Chronic Rift, previously a public access show on cable in the early 90s, and now a new podcast. Every month the Rift...that fixed. Or, you can listen to the podcast via the PodOmatic player here . You can hear my DVD roundup/review around the 26 minute mark. I don't actually sound as bad as I thought! Hooray
I was reading Lifehacker yesterday, and they link to Metafilter, where someone asked about places online in which you can buy unique gifts. Someone mentioned Blurb.com , a site where you can create... not at a resolution for a book. I'm going to think of some photography projects, and definitely create a book. I hope one of you might be interested enough to look into this, too, and share your work
So I guess this is what David Walliams and Matt Lucas have been doing -- Little Britain USA ! It premieres September 26 on HBO. I need to write this down, because I know I'm going to forget. Here's a bit of Lou and Andy too:
