John Carpenter's Escape From New York (1981) has been one of my favorite movies seen I first saw it on German cable TV about twenty years ago. I had a dream that I was friends with Kurt Russell and we were hanging out at a bar together with some other people.  Then when he left I stayed behind with my sister and we met Cher.  She handed me...for us overseas and on our soil.  I fear a country that resembles London in V for Vendetta.   Slowly it may come to that but hopefully people will be passionate enough to fight against it!

This movie has got to be one of the creepiest ones that will always scare me poopless--the CGI'ed stuff they come up with today just doesn't have the claustrophic, suspenseful, paranoia-soaked storytelling...like that today. If they go through with a remake, I hope that the only computer animation used is for brushing Kurt Russell's wrinkes away, and intensifying his already intensely blue, sparkly eyes

Hey I just realized it's Rob Lowe and Kurt Russell's birthday. Pretty sick that I know that off the top of my head huh? But the reason I know about Rob anyway is that I sent him a birthday card when...and a green envelope. So now it's a permanent memory. I guess along the way I found out it was Kurt's B-day too so now it's stuck in with the other memory. Now ask me what I learned in collidge.
