So this world is going to the shitter! It's just like home~. Oh yeah... Anyone want any sweets from the teashop? I feel like celebrating, so it's my treat.
Help please? :) Not all that long ago someone here posted a comment (I believe) sharing a really awesome laundry hamper/sorter. We will be moving and have less room for the big rubbermaid basket ones we have now. The shared one would be perfect! Only I cannot find the post again. :( I went back to March of 2009 in the laundry tags and nothing. It was 3 upright bags(?) side by side. Each one could...
...so it's going to be hot and very dirty. I bought a week's worth of shirts and shorts that are all fast-drying and moisture-wicking, plus a few supposedly have odor protection. I was planning on doing laundry once a week but I'm concerned about how this might muck up these fabrics. How do you care for this stuff? Can I use regular detergent and have it keep its nice drying properties? Similarly, I...
So I've been wearing Levi's 550 jeans for quite a few years now. They fit me rather well, but I'm getting tired of them. Do any of you know of another brand that fits similarly? There are so many brands... I don't enjoy shopping at all, so I would love to know where to go first. I thought I remembered an old post in this group from a few years ago with jeans recommendations, but I couldn't find it
I thought it might be fun to share this on my lj and flameelf suggested I share it here. I am a stay at home mom of 7 so laundry is ALWAYS being done. I found a recipie to make your own laundry soap last summer and since then I have been sold on doing it at home. Laundry Soap. First of all when I realized I was low on soap I decided to make up another batch and then got picture...
I want to make my own laundry detergent using this recipe. I have a few questions: 1. Does this look like a good recipe? 2. I want to add essential oils so that the laundry detergent has a good smell. If I put the oils in, will it make my clothes oily? Thanks so much for your help!
First I want to say that I love this community - came in SO handy when I was shopping for new laptop cases :D. Second of all, I have a taekwondo belt promotion test on Saturday. Problem is, my white uniform's...soda mixture as good bleach alternative. However, I couldn't find an exact measurement for the mixture, nor could I find out how long it should soak for. Anyone have any idea? Thanks SO much
I was diagnosed yesterday with atopic dermatitis (aka eczema). I was told to stop using fabric softener, and if that didn't help with the flare up, to change detergent. I have laundry to do tomorrow, and plan to not use fabric softener... but hate how my clothes feel when I don't use a dryer sheet! Do any of you have suggestions for non-irritating alternatives to fabric softener? Someone told me...
...a day or anything), I noticed them to be half wet/half dry but the wet part was almost dry. I've never had anything come out of the washer that seemed nearly dry--the items are usually dampish (you know you've done enough laundry in your life to gauge these things). I can't tell if the towels got thoroughly washed, either. Any ideas on why this is happening? Thanks for any ideas and any input!!
