Today I can call myself an IR major. That means I havent been using those two letters in vain!! That means I wasnt a dumb wannabe IR major. No more backup majors, no more crazy double major schedule planning...are supportive. I hope it is worth my effort. I just cant believe it. It was that easy and that fast. On a side note, I dont like martial arts, but I like my martial arts instructor. UGH CHOICES

Dangit. I am still sick after 3 days. I thought it was a sinus infection coming on but I'm not so sure anymore. Not much of a fever, not really a stopped up or runny nose, but a wicked sore throat, majorly...ends up. So Aikido 101 would be half the 5th kyu material and Aikido 201 would be the second half and when they were done, they could potentially come into the school and test for 5th kyu. Or something

So, I was poking around Youtube today, looking for the songs from Disney's Mulan (shut up, it's my favorite movie. I can recite about 80% of it from memory), and I realized something. Y'know how celebrities inspire some people to be skinnier? Well, Jackie Chan inspires me to be the best martial artist I can be. Seriously. The dude's awesome. He had his own cartoon , for cryin' out loud.

It's almost November, NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) is approaching fast.  Have a story idea?  November is the month that you can join the challenge of thousands (millions) of writers and aspiring...a lot of things lately and my art skills have unfortunately become WAY rusty.  I need to doodle more to get the lines cleaner and more fluid.  Also, I need to set up my pen tablet on the laptop soon.

It's a good start to the weekend. mal and I took Friday off, put Bean in daycare, dawdled *achem*, lunched, then headed off to the City for California Academy of Sciences. We decided that...us all tasty dinners and DDR'ed with Elder Daughter. That's two instances of Elder Daughter for DDR maximization. Awesome. It's a very, very good start. I'm sure the weekend holds more joy to be had :

We had our third match today. This time, they showed up with two sets of protective gear, and whoever was going to spar put it on.  This allowed for some contact during sparring, which actually seemed...learn this as a completely new style, and compartmentalize them in my mind, or just take Taekwondo and add in stuff from this style to make my own style.  It's an interesting and difficult question.
