All the mention of crock pots reminded me. I threw out our last slow cooker, because food burned on the top and at the sides, even on a low setting, in a way that wasn't flavourful. It turned out to be...time to answer this, thank you very much. (LJ automatic community tags is offering me a disturbing list-within-a-list: before and after pics, blood, boogies. BTW please can we add 'crock pots' too?

I am just starting my meal planning and I do totally feel like I do not have enough meals to rotate through the weeks without getting bored. These are my menus for the next week using food that is already in my store cupboard. This term includes food cupboard, fridge and freezer. SUNDAY Breakfast-Toast and honey with cup of tea. Lunch- Ham...Sweetcorn omelette using 1/2 tin of sweetcorn and whatever fresh vegetables are left,1 teaspoon of olive oil Evening Meal-Grilled chicken with frozen mixed butternut squash and sweet potato.  

Still trying to catch up on stuff, and thinking a menu might help... Monday- Takeout night Tuesday- Pintos and cornbread, green beans Wednesday- Grilled pepperoni sandwiches, salad Thursday- Ham, potatoes au gratin, peas, rolls Friday- Teriyaki chicken stir fry, brown rice Saturday- Beanie weenie, mac and cheese, brown bread, carrots Sunday- Rigatoni, salad, garlic bread

cold coffee update The last time I made cold-brewed coffee I used a half pound of coffee. It got messy during the straining process. 1/4 pound is the way to go . 1/4 pound and 2.5 cups of water at...barbecue sauce mashed potatoes with spinach and garlic samosa-spice scrambled tofu with peas lots of oatmeal home-made soy yogurt quinoa and local greens (as affordable) more stir-fry than you can count
