I have made a grand total of 3 attempts at cracking the nut that is J.S. Mill's On Liberty. While admittedly this nut is easier to crack than Leviathan (which I have to restart, as I haven't touched it in 3 months!!!), it's still not easy, given that my reading endurance has failed miserably thus far. I think I can safely say I am no longer anything remotely close to an intellectual. (who am I kidding...
...I am going to use. I've sent the first letter to myself and it worked. I felt lousy and tired and weak. All this virtual making-contact-stuff made me feel in need for real contact. I live next to a mill and today it was a special day at the mill. They served pancakes and were open late. The neighbours were invited in the evening before closing time, so my day ended with a coffee with the millers...
I am sure that most of you,(i assume most because the Obama to McCain ratio on facebook is like 5 to 1) are saying that how can i make a claim so rash like that and before you stop reading I worn you,...peer-to-peer networks for illegal activity. If his hairplugs are not enough to scare you, this information should. So when Obama takes office, delete your library, or you will be paying big buck

I went out to Crosskirk last night with Thurso Photography Club. The weather was pretty horrible, a flat grey sky and drizzle, so we stayed out for an hour and then gave up. Because of the lack of colour...photo. These are my three best attempts from the night (and if you click on any of the pics to go through to Flickr, you'll see the fourth as well, which is another dead sheep!).
Last week I finally got around to ordering the first four of a set of seven books I'd long been interested in, written by a machinist and inventor named David J. Gingery . He published these books...be building the foundry. It'd be fun to be able to cast my own metal parts, using the same primitive methods used hundreds of years ago.
