Today wulfwalker and I checked out a largely demolished textile mill in Anderson South Carolina. This is definitely one of those sites that ask for multiple visits.

I went out to Crosskirk last night with Thurso Photography Club. The weather was pretty horrible, a flat grey sky and drizzle, so we stayed out for an hour and then gave up. Because of the lack of colour...photo. Last week I finally got around to ordering the first four of a set of seven books I'd long been interested in, written by a machinist and inventor named David J. Gingery . He published these books...be building the foundry. It'd be fun to be able to cast my own metal parts, using the same primitive methods used hundreds of years ago.
