I am sitting with my foot propped on pillows and feeling a bit helpless because I broke my foot... I have figured out how to sew with my left foot on the pedal and even with my foot raised up and propped...sparce elegant effect. And finally some snapshots from the wedding. Hopefully I'll have more soon! Photos by Akrabat on Flickr Photos by Sara Moore
I've recieved a request to make a under bust corset for a larger client, which wouldn't normally be a problem except the woman in question is very large and mainly apple shaped. She carries all her weight...work she will go away happy. Does anyone else have experience with drafting for a similar shape of person? Or any suggestions for how to let her down gently if it isn't possible to make what she wants
Hi all ! I need your advice and opinion on an overbust project. I like to ask this community, it's always so interesting to discuss, share opinions,... Very inspiring ! So: a friend made this quick sketch...fabric covered buttons, or, on the contrary, about detailed metal buttons. What do you think ? The charms will be removable (yes, I'm very into removable stuff lately). Thank you for your help :-
I, too, need a little advice. I've made a few simple corsets with the Laughing Moon pattern, but need some help and suggestions on modifying the pattern. A male friend of mine is into crossdressing, and...to modify the pattern to fit his curves, or lack there of? I'm going to be making a muslin mock-up in the next few days, and would like to get it as close to him as possible. Thanks! Chanc
And then we realised, 35 hours into the first play through, that we fucked up somewhere and couldn't get the final fusion monster. So we restarted the game anew, changed the names up a bit again, and after...in Chicago for apartment-hunting only perpetuates that particular effect. Irony: A fortune cookie yesterday told me to "finish old tasks." I'd have laughed myself sick if I wasn't so tired already

1) Sneaking on the wagon super late, but: FORMSPRING.ME GET ! Ask me anything and everything! (Except for my social security and credit card numbers and whether or not I did commit that capital punishment...acclimated. Kind of. Sort of. If anything, it's a sure lesson to start preparing a year in advance, lol... /shifty-eyed (OMFG that took way too long. And next up is the online sales post, gdi.)
Last night I finished another customer commission. This one is a plus-sized plain black underbust. It's made from two layers or corset coutil, has six panels per side, and 1/2" spring steel flats for boning...lacing. The hip coverage is low, and the attached garters are designed into the shaping along the bottom of the corset. The edges are bound with double-satin ribbon. X-Poste
A few days ago it was requested of me to write a tutorial on how to add lace edging to a corset, so here you go. :) If you want to read it with the images full width, it's also posted to my web site at...shown below. Every situation is unique and there is more than one way to achieve a beautiful end, but generally this method works well for applying decorative lace edging to most corsets
I finally finished the 1880's overbust wedding corset. It has two core layers of coutil, a cream dupioni silk cover, and plain cotton lining. The 14" busk is backed with a 1/2" wide spring steel flat....Victorian corsets, but I developed the stitch myself and worked it by hand over the weekend. I finished the rest of the corset yesterday (Monday). X-Poste
