Good news! I got accepted into Southern's MLS program! The silly thing about this program is that I have to plan what classes I'm going to take every semester from now until I finish the program. That is a horrible design for indecisive people like me. I'm going to have to have a long talk with my advisor, because pretty much all the classes sound interesting to me. Of course, if college has taught...

Worst of all, I rolled my ankle getting shoved over in a mud patch and will be hobbled for a week or so. (sigh) Titanium breakaway ankles …
You can say what you want about MLS’ two-conference system and the playoffs (I often say they’re dumb) but it does set the stage for some pretty good late-season drama. Colorado vs. Real Salt Lake was a perfect example. Because Amy trumped...
We finished another major project we’d had on the docket for awhile, and that was having a new driveway poured and redoing the front walk and stoop. All in all, it turned out to be a frustrating experience...Maurice Edu play a really good game, and the young man has a penchant for passing to the other team.

I've been researching MLS programs and facebook stalking for two hours. Time for sleepage. P.S. Today I gave my phone number to someone I met at a party on Friday (even if Brantley wasn't impressed by them, haha). We facebook chatted for a bit and I think we're going to hang out sometime this week. Wish me well on my endeavors!

You know you’re getting old when you have to force yourself to stay up to watch a 9:30 kickoff. I watched the Badgers play at Fresno State in a bar and it was all I could do to keep from falling...practically guaranteed—but that’s a long way to travel for disappointment.

...I'm really interested in disability studies, and I found a program that offers a Master of Liberal Studies degree with a concentration in disability studies. Does anyone know what I could do with an MLS? It doesn't really sound like it would lead to a specific career. Would potential employers not take me seriously because I would have an interdisciplinary degree? And if I chose to get my Ph.D., say...
