I am currently updating from my new MacBook. Hooray! I'm delighted that it arrived today, but not so wild on the whole let-me-take-seven-years-to-download-updates business. Either way, it is gorgeous...Lehrer last night, right after I posted about trying to decide between Columbia and Macalester. Guess where the adorable Mr Lehrer went to college? ... Columbia. Maybe that was a sign. I'm not sure.

Dear Alicia, I am writing to inform you that your application to Columbia University has been carefully evaluated and that you have earned designation as a likely candidate for admission to Columbia...review finds that you are maintaining your current level of academic progress and good standing, you can expect to receive favorable word when admissions packets are mailed on March 31st. *FLAILS

I have some words. But Its two words I will relate upon in this posting. Words: Momentous Occasions Every now and then, there are some definite times that are incredibly notable in ones life. The...just whatever that it is that has made it possible. For now on, this is my life. I am happy to live it. I will be a part of it always. let the universe come together, right now... over me.

I have no words to describe the utter joy I am feeling at this moment. I may have cried. This is just incredible. The best first election I could possibly have had. (Also, I continue to adore the rhetoric of the New York Times: The day shimmered with history... WTF? Does history shimmer? Apparently it does now.)
