Okay. Theatre news: 1. THE MUSICAL THIS YEAR IS BARNUM. "What?" you say. "Barnum!" I cry. "As in P.T. Barnum, as in Barnum and Bailey, as in CIRCUS AND FREAK SHOWS AND FIRE EATERS AND UNICYCLES AND TRAPEZES AND CANNONS!!" Fucking. Awesome. 2. The classical is Comedy of Errors. There is discussion of it being... wait for it... Star Wars themed. YESSS
This one is more for myself - nothing for you guys. ;o) It's just a collection of all castlists of the StEx-Shows i was in. Don't ask why i'm doing this - don't know either exactly. lol But it's nice to know & recognize which actor played which character on which date/show and so on. As i sad -> boring stuff you! But i'll love this entry. ^^
I saw Mamma Mia! on Sunday with my sister and mother. I'm kind of a fan of Colin Firth because of his acting in Bridget Jones and Pride and Prejudice so it speaks for itself that I enjoyed this musical. Although the story wasn't too deep and the people were a bit too chipper for my liking, I still liked the film in general. In fact, I'm even planning on buying the DVD when it comes out. Another thing...
So, I saw the musical on Sunday, and it was totally worth to spend that much on the theatre and train tickets. Firstly, they had created a wonderful atmosphere in Pesti Magyar Színház. There was a big red gothic chandelier and antique-looking, black and silver armchairs in the lounge, where everybody was waiting before the show. One of the 'vampires' was walking around in full costume and makeup,...
...with summer activities and whatnot, but I would be lying. I'm not exactly sure why I haven't, but that's the reality; I haven't . Moving on. For the past week (and the coming one), I have been in a musical theatre camp. We are doing The Pirates of Penzance. It's kinda funny watching people who didn't know it was a musical sing at the top of their lungs. I play one of the really ditzy sisters. THAT...
I'm thinking of backing out of the Paul! Paul! Musical. I'm sure a lot of people who are able to read this are smiling. Some, indifferent. Some will comment on this entry and say, "!%@$&$@$%!@#%@^ KITTY HUWAG KA MAGBACK-OUT". I'm not sure about the third possibility, though. Anyway, I've given it a lot of thought. I've asked people outside school, some of them tell me to go for the GIFT center show...
CAMP ROCK (2008) Starring Demi Lovato and Joe Jonas Directed by Matthew Diamond Genre: Musical MPAA: G, I'm figuring since its a Disney TV movie. Plot Summary: "Camp Rock," centers on a teen girl who desperately wants to spend her summer at a prestigious rock camp, but can only attend if she works in the kitchen as one of the cooks. When she's overheard singing - but not seen -- by a teen pop...
...edition" one and it has really messed me up with my ability to quote shit. I'm uber pissed and so I'm going to have to buy the other version, so I can go back to quoting. I was going to write a musical version of the Exorcist. That's why I bought a copy... so that I could get certain things correct and decide the best parts to include songs... so I guess I should use the theatrical version to...
Anything that is too stupid/mushy to be said is sung. Must be why I like musicals so much ROFL. Seriously. I was watching another performance of Destined Couple from the Seramyu, and it's just so...so... Well, let's just put it this way: It's Haruka/Michiru.
