Unusual Desires

You'll have to excuse me. I just had coffee and can say with absolute confidence that I'm having a manic episode. Off the walls hyper I am at present. So, naturally, I'm thinking of all these weird and...a billionaire husband who's willing to spoil me. I can't see any other way of achieving all these things on my list. I could become a billionaire myself ...  yeah, I'm not holding my breath for that.

The Cat Sat on the Mat

I was largely raised by my grandparents during my early years. As they are all immigrants from Greece, they only spoke Greek to me. My parents, who thought that I would have plenty of time to learn...another story for another day... Until then, I shall leave you with my greatest contribution to literature. It's very short, so it shouldn't take you too long to read... The cat sat on the mat.

Venus in Furs

I read 'Venus in Furs', by Leopold von Sacher-Masoch, in a few hours. One of the reasons I don't read much anymore is that when I start, I can't put a book down. It's terrible that I have almost no control..... and even a relationship, should the opportunity present itself. I could go on for much longer, but I think I'll leave it there. All in all, 'Venus in Furs' was a very thought-provoking novel.

Tall Poppies

Bieber Fever has swept through Australia. Currently, my sister is listening to 'Baby' (I think she must have set it to repeat because that damned song's been playing all evening). That Bieber kid seems...poppies of society. Instead of bringing them down, why can't we just celebrate their achievements? Nothing is for free and each and every one of them has had to work hard to get where they are now.

I Love You

"Just 3 words, you say it to everyone, why not to me?" "Saying it to you carries a different meaning. I'm not saying it until I'm sure. And, I am not going to patronize you." "Just 3 words..." "If..." "You've never answered that question of mine." "If you're looking for a fight, find someone else. I am not in the mood to entertain a Hamlet." "Can you at least look at me?" "GET OUT! NOW!

My first day of 2010

Was quite eventful, surprisingly. I mean, I had no expectations whatsoever. I thought it would be a very relaxed day driving up to my grandfather's farm, and then watching dvds, writing and reading for...me on the back a few times, I was finally able to breathe and therefore lived to tell you the tale of my first day of 2010. Much more dramatic and hilarious than I ever expected it to be.   Love, Any

My Laptop

This is my laptop. I've had it since I was 15 and, with it, I have written all my IB assignments, all my uni assignments and notes, all of The Good Morrow, Voice Mail Morrow, all my other...crashing makes me nervous, because pretty much my entire life is stored on this computer. So I have a huge dilemma, and I'd be most grateful for your opinion-  to keep, or to upgrade? Love, Any

Politically Correct

I hate that term. It sets my teeth on edge and makes me want to strangle anyone who uses that term. It just so happens that most Australians have an intense fixation on making everything 'politically correct'... So lets quit the crap and just be honest and say things how they are- not how they should be in a 'politically correct' world. It'll be like a breath of fresh air in today's society. Love, Any

Make Me Up

As you all should know by now, I have quite an obsessive personality. A few days ago it was cooking. But now it's makeup. I've discovered the wonderful Michelle Phan on youtube, and am now not only obsessed...correction pen died was like D-Day. I can't live without that thing. And YSL have such pretty packaging for their makeup. Not to mention good quality... So there you have it. My latest obsession.

Cooking... inducer of productivity, or method of procrastination?

This evening, I sat down at my computer and started writing a bit more of the next WbaP chapter. I already had a blister on my middle finger from the stirring spoon because I made dinner. But, I'll admit...pie. Now, I'm eating one of the mini lemon meringue pies I made, and waiting for my pavlova base to finish cooking. And now I'm FINALLY going to get on to finishing the next WbaP chapter :)
