We visited the New YorkNew York on my birthday. I thought of riding the roller-coaster, but the entry fee just for a ride cost roughly the same as the entry fee for Six Flags here in Mexico, so I...to the Excalivur, from which the MGM's New Year Firework display could be watched perfectly. I'll try to upload a vid of that too. Third and (hopefully) last installment of trip tomorrow.
As indirectly requested by gloryforever I now take a moment to post a selection of the long overdue photos from my trip to Las Vegas a year ago. Why I took a whole year to post them I cannot...there won't be any pictures of my new hairdo), so this is a selection of the people-less photos I took the first couple of days. My day began with hunting for a new microwave and longingly sizing up flat screen monitors, then there was an interlude where I semi-inadvertently gave a lift to someone who was either suffering a schizophrenic...and revealing piccies of Mr D. Or, you know, interviews where his RL wit lives up to the characters he plays *G* And finally. Goodbye 2008 and hello 2009. May you and yours all have had a good one
Botheration. I can't decide whether I really don't want to go out and do something this evening, or whether I'm just being avoidant. On the one hand there are lots of things that I'd like to do around...bit of a mess, but I can probably have it fairly presentable in an hour or two so if people started showing up at 7 or 8 that would work ^_^ Regardless, I wish you all a safe and happyholiday ^_
It's Hogmanay, I've finished work which means I'm off work until the 5th. Ok for about the next 24 hours I have to pretend to be sociable on and off but after that I am doing hee-haw for 3 days solid. Love and Kisses to all and your loved ones when the bells strike midnight... though I think it'll be midnight here first so when you're all having your dinner I'll wish you all a happy new year.
