Happy New year from a very tired lady! The GuruSangats and I played kirtan on New Years Eve at Raj Khalsa, mantras this time and it was fun! My eldest sis was in town, enroute with her family to Japan for a ski holiday.  It's been many years since they were here. Good timing too since it is the year end holidays and we all managed to take...depreciation of property....go figure it out. We had a very good gathering and took some really nice photos as well. Don't think we are going to have this type of gathering for many more years again

So yesterday me, Rachel, Lily, and Allison picked up Jemal and Lauren from Topanga (where Jemal had had his first alcoholic drink ever lol) and we all went out to eat at islands, which was nice...here...out at Allison (minus Lauren, plus Matt) and watched "Mean Girls" lol. so that was my new year's...back to work today...at least a lot of us are gonna hang out again tonight, so thats cool. ok BYE

New Year's Eve was fun, though the flamenco music and dancing only took up about 40 minutes of the time we were there between 9:30 and 12:00.  For the time that it happened it was high energy and graceful...puzzle, probably sometime before the 90's.  It's been a good while for her as well.  I think this means we're officially square.  Well, not like the puzzle shape which is rather more rectangular.

It started out euphoric. That gave way to an ailment. Pretty soon came disappointment. Now I'm left with hope & optimism. They can't break my spirit. They won't take my heart. Well, the Christmas machine has thundered by and quiet sanity has descended. Naturally I wasn't off work enough and it seemed like every day I had some kind of obligation or other. The last two days...happen. Also the blogging would constitute making money with writing. That would be nice. Really nice. So I feel like I am starting out on a new road on the first day of the year. And it feels nice
