First of all -- Why. Does Kato Shigeaki look like a prat in this shoot? Why. The hair. Why. It makes me want to call him Kato. x_x cred to: boys_paper I finished 'High Fidelity' today...a long time ago? I get a kick out of that. Hehe. I just saw this Sharon Stone-Richard Gere movie where their kid, their kid is that Cameron doctor from House. I got all excited. Haha. I am lame. xDD
While the spaghetti cooks for my lunch so I can pack and get out the door to the fall League of Vermont Writers meeting, let's see if I can come up with Five Things. 1. jonowrimo is keeping...voices and the way they interact. It's also good reading for The Grove. 5. (totally at random) I am still picking a few blueberries off my bushes. What a year it has been for them! Gotta fly
People worry about kids playing with guns, and teenagers watching violent videos; we are scared that some sort of culture of violence will take them over. Nobody worries about kids listening to thousands...don't know whether pop music has caused this unhappiness, but I do know that they've been listening to the sad songslonger than they've been living the unhappy lives. -High Fidelity by Nick Hornb
I'm starting to like Nick Hornby almost as much as I do Terry Pratchett. Yeah, I admit it, I've got a thing for Brits, and have had since I can remember (and boy did it mess up my spelling for a...want to know how things feel? It sure is why I read them. And if someone can tell a story while writing non-fiction, I love that, too. And I gotta tell you, Nick Hornby wrote some story with this one
Yes guys, I am. And I'm so sorry to be like this. I'm making this entry to apologize to all my f-list, please bear with me if you can. I don't want to wake up one day and see that all of...can cause troubles but there's nothing I can do, I'm muddle-headed) A long way down , and it's quite good. Okay, I think it's all for now. Hope to see you soon on these pages. Take care, hugs!
Bah! Quanto tempo...
*** i tried to write a proper review for 'high fidelity', but my brain is being a fart today, so we'll make this brief: liked the movie well enough when i first saw it, but didn't fall in love with...that reads more like the lead character's talking to you, rather than telling you a story). will certainly check out more of his stuff, but not any time soon. *** and now, i zone out. - wayne ree
(yes, complete with movie tie-in cover. hey, for two bucks, you think i'm gonna quibble over packaging?) *** 'zeitgeist' somehow manages to walk the line between a solid, linear story - and an almost...solely on my enjoyment of 'the zenith angle' . but i would rank this book with gibson's later two 'sprawl' novels: enjoyable for their style, but not really for their substance. - wayne ree
i guess i should start off introducing myself... i don't expect that this will last, i've had three previous lj accounts and i've lost interest in little time in all of them. i know that my grammar sucks... If you happen to stroll by this, i'd be very happy of your presence, please just leave a comment of an "i read this" at the least. what am i meant to write in the tags? is this how you find me...
