No, this is not a premature Halloween entry :-p This is just me basking in the Blue Eagles' Game 1 victory. I do smell blood, because Ateneo has drawn first blood in the senior men's basketball finals...in the alignment of the planets can prevent the Blue Eagles from taking the championship on Thursday, and I believe God's going to give my boys a break this time and give them the crown they deserve
Today is the Final Four Showdown of the UAAP Season 71 Men's Basketball. 1st Game: DLSU (Twice to beat advantage) VS. FEU A real thriller. To stand up against the defending champions is a big task... Last year's 2nd placers are officially out in the game with a shameful loss of 70-50. We're off to the finals against the Green Archers!!! Game 1 on Sept. 21! :)
By 2 pm, we were sitting comfortably on the sofa, ready with our Chips Ahoy and Iced Milo. Since last week, I've been counting down the days 'til the big game. Now, the UAAP fanatics' thirst for excitement...year's Finals MVP to only 5 sorry points. Honorable mention: Chris Tiu with 9 points & 5 assists and bench star Eric Salamat with 8 points. Catch the blue fever!!!
This morning, since Nanay Divine and mama were busy preparing for Margot's class party, I was tasked to drop her to school. It was a fun experience holding her hand, dragging her (dirty) pink stroller...!! Why??! Bastaaa! Hehehe! I'm jumping on the bandwagon again and will post what's on my bag soon! ;) FOR THE LACK OF BETTER THINGS TO DO! Lolz I like this photo of DOTS (Fully Booked, BHS)
The Blue Eagles had another great game yesterday, defeating the UST Growling Tigers 64-57. This time, the offense was more diversified, with four players scoring in double digits - Rabeh Al-Hussaini ...going to let me out of the house on Saturday, the day before we leave :-p So it looks like yesterday's game against UST was my last...at least until I come home for summer vacation next year
Because there's a house partaay for Cholo's super 17th and change is healthy, I spent the complete weekend here in our QC home. I used to be uncomfortable hanging out here because there are a lot of good...know there's a fat chance for them in winning naman. There's 24 seconds left as I see it, and Ateneo is on the lead. Ayos lang, I just need to kiss Baclao when we see each other tonight. (Yeah right.
I'm very happy to announce that all Ateneo's UAAP basketball teams won their games this past weekend :) The Lady Eagles earned their first win over the UE Amazons, 55-45. Apart from Treena Limengco, Karen...Tamaraws on Thursday, July 31st. I'm interested to see the impact of Mac Baracael's absence on the Tams, and I trust that the Blue Eagles will come prepared. They, too, have reason to win on Thursday
The Blue Eagles won their first (BIG) UAAP game yesterday, defeating the De La Salle University Green Archers, 79-73. It was a classic game that went down the wire, with big shots - and some big hits...glad it was a single-digit winning margin, considering that UST is a strong women's division contender this season, and that I hope to watch the Lady Eagles in action so I can say more about them
